ok, not sure if im posting this in right place or not, so sorry if if im not.....
we have a piece of land which we own and out neighbour has 'right of way' access across it to get to their parking spce they have created at the bottom of their garden...
for a couple of years they have been using this right of way as a parking space for themselves and their numerous family members, without asking. i had brought the subject up only to be called 'un-neighbourly'
anyway, things have turned sour, as they do with lunatic neighbours (we have had a complaint made about our dog barking, which she very rarely does, and the other side to said lunatic neighbours have had the fire brigade called on them!!:mad::mad:), can i put up a sign that says
'No parking, right of way only'
Thanks

You can but........... why not knock on the door and try to talk to them again. The only way the issues will be resolved is to explain why you don't want them to park on the land. Or spend loads of money at a solicitors?0

we did try that, but her partner hit my husband in the face (and then called him an effing blue as he's a man city supporter????!!!!!) we arent being unreasonable and have tried to be adult about it. But they seem incapable of holding down any kind of calm discussion, feral almost!
but basically, you say we can do this. so we will - thankyouTROLL SLAYER......0 -
You should speak to the police. The neighbour has physically assulted your husband and can be charged.
I don't think your unreasonable at all, I really feel for you.
I've been in a similar situation with a bloody minded neighbour and to be honest got nowhere. In the end he moved and the new neighbours were happy for us to put a fence up and split the garden path.
I doubt your neighbours will take any notice of the sign though.0 -
Is it causing you any problems with them parking on this bit of land i.e. is it blocking your access or is just a case of you don't want them parking on your land?0

yes your probably right, they wont take any notice. They do have their house on the market though, and was hoping that if the sign was up when they have viewers round it kind of sets us all off on the right footing with new neighbours. Hopefully they arent telling prospective buyers its a parking space, but you never know, i like to be prepared

You know that coming across as awkward in front of viewers might slow the sale right?!
I'd just introduce yourself to anyone viewing and say hi nicely if you want to get off on the right foot with your new neighbours. It isn't their fault their predecessor was a nightmare!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
