    Morning All,

It is damp here today and very grey and ugly, matching my mood. I am off to a funeral this morning with my sisters, its a bit close to home, not sure how I feel about that at all.

Weill done to DD sistercas and glad it went well for your DD too,Redruby.

Hugs for beemuzed, hope the day passes peacefully for you. xx

Plan for the day when I come home is to continue decluttering and cleaning the house; feel like I might be actually getting somewhere now :) I need to bake bread and some biscuits for the boys, and sort out dinner. HM sausage rolls while the oven is on, and I have some manky veg so will stick some soup on, too. Busy night tonight with lots or driving and fetching of children.

Have a good day all, hugs if you are in need.

Good Morning Chums ,well this is about as long as I can lie-in for when the sun is shining and there is lots to do.Must admit I do find it hard to lie-in once awake. When I first rerired in 1995 it took me almost two years to get out of the habit of waking up at 5.00.a.m. I had done it for 22 years and I automatically woke at that time .I now wake as a rule about 6.45 at the latest,so today was a miracle to me to wake just before 8.Must be getting old I suppose ;););)
Well I have decided I am going to put another coat on the wall as at the moment its got that 'stone washed 'look and I'm not ken on it.so after breakfast i will do one of the walls, then stop as I have to pick up DGD Katie and take her to the dentists for 12.30. once I drop her back home I will do the next wall.By breaking it down to one wall at a time I hopefully won't make my arm ache quite so much.I couldn't paint with my sleeve on yesterday so I left it off,boy was the arm giving my gyp last night. So sense is kicking in this morning.
Dinner tonight I think will be bacon egg mushrooms and maybe a couple of chipalatas that are in the freezer. What I call a nice easy dinner, plus it uses up the last of the mushrooms that I have and some streaky bacon from the fridge.I have 6 slices so if I save three for dinner then the other three along with some eggs, onions and chopped papers I will make into a quiche for salad for the next couple of days .I am determined to stay away from the shops as much as I can and use up what I have .At the moment on my 'Essentials' list by the kettle I only have R50 spotlight bulbs to buy which is really only a reminder that one has gone in the study and not really a massive essential.I am really being very careful this month as its not long till the holiday balance will need paying so every penny saved is going towards that.I have cut back on petrol as well as I'm not going out as much which is good for the planet and my purse ;)
Right I'm off to have my breakfast I hope everyone has a great day whatever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xx
    P.S.
Beemuzed; I hope your day passes off in peace for you
Julie; enjoy seeing your parents I bet your excited
Jackie G good luck with your decluttering and I hope your funeral goes off o.k.
Donny-gal; I envy your Durham trip its one of my favourite places to visit.I used to drive the girls up to Wolsingham in the half term when my OH was working in the Sudan in the 1980s.I loved High Force falls its just so beautiful and the cathedral in Durham is just awe-inspiring.The view from the top is well worth the climb

    Good morning all,
BB - I also thought "let them eat cake" and then I wasn't sure it was only cake and not scones so wondered "let them eat bake". Good luck with the new job x

RIE - I think a relaxing holiday somewhere warm and pampering is what you and DH need. Good luck x

Blue skies and sunny here at the moment so washing about to go out on the line.

Dinner will be left over chicken wings from Tuesday with hg salad and millet. Boiled up the chicken wing tips to make stock. Added the spicy juices from the ribs and wings to make a spicy sauce. Will de-bone the lo wings and add them to the sauce - not done this before so hope it works. DGSs don't like chicken wings so will just do the ribs next time. The ribs went down really well especially with DH :)

Happy Thursday folks. Hugs for those who need or want.
    Cheers m'dears, Silver x

Morning all. Hope you are all well.

Today is my beloved Grandads funeral. It's 300 miles away. Nobody bothered to tell me til late last night. Even if I pay hundreds of pounds to get there there is not way I can get there by train til noon or 1pm. Just goes to prove that he was the only one in my family with any decency or love. Someone has suggested to me on FB that I think of him and say goodbye at the time of the funeral but I havent even been told that.

The main reason I feel s h i t e is cos even though it hasnt really hit me yet aside from throwing up and shaking last night when I heard is that I'm old fashioned in that regard and believe in paying your respects as it were. I have been to 8 funerals but sadly not the one that actually really matters to me.I hope that he doesnt feel bad or think that I don't love him totally.

    Hi reverbe
So sorry about your grandad. He won't think any the worse of you - he'll also know it's certainly not your fault you can't be there in person. Find a quiet spot somewhere (maybe outdoors in park - or indoors in a church ) and spend some time reliving the happy memories you've shared over the years. That way you'll be doing something to mark the occasion even if not in company with others. I'll be thinking of you today. ((HUGS))
