    I have SW and before I log off something that might amuse you

    WOMEN WHO KNOW THEIR PLACE

    Barbara Walters, of 20/20, did a story on gender roles in Kabul , Afghanistan , several years before the Afghan conflict.

    She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands.

    She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem happy to maintain the old custom.

    Ms Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?'

    The woman looked Ms Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, 'Land mines.'

    Moral of the story is (no matter what language you speak or where you go):

    BEHIND EVERY MAN,

    THERE'S A SMART WOMAN
    "Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

    Very good. :rotfl::rotfl:

    I deplore the custom but in this case i can make an exception.

    It is 2011 we should not accept being demeaned for any reason. Life is for living my friend.

    1975 was International Women's Year. We owe it to ourselves to focus on what is right for us.

    Hiya guys - Mam was good tonight - chatting away in her little voice about things and people we couldn't understand or see, but we just agree with her and such like to keep her happy. Seemingly she had been out out day picking paper up she had been tearing paper towels into bits and had them in her hands and was worn out doing it so would stay in for the rest of the day ;) she ate a huge bowl of scrambled eggs and pureed spagetti in tomato sauce and then had some ice cream and cake, plus a few of her faves - milk chocolate buttons :D:D She was taking to Polar Bear and saying what a good girl she was, 'no trouble at all' she is ;)

    I called at brother's on way to spend an hour with him, chatting, and then went to Mr T's on way home where I picked up lots of whoopsies - whole fresh chicken for £1.40, 3 huge fresh chicken breasts for £2.10, a good sized pork loin fillet 94p (from £3.64), and a tub of fresh fruit salad 45p, all of which I dropped in to my sister's for her. I also got 2 good sized fresh lamb chops 24p, 2 fresh organic chicken breasts for £1.05, and 4 more pots of fresh fruit salad at 25p & 45p. I also picked up a pack of 3 pairs of ladies socks for £1.75 and a pack of 5 pairs for £2 so can clear out my drawer at home, throwing some old ones away as I bought 2 other packs at this price when I was up here last time

    I love a bargain Bombshell-Bargains.jpg
