THE FUTURE IS ONE BIG CHALLENGE AFTER ANOTHER for 3Dogs and friends ..... PART 3

I can confirm that I still have my mobile phone, though there was a scare - when b-i-l picked me and my sister up from station she had walked across town from work to meet me we went to their house, we dropped him off and I drove us down to see Mam. When I get there I always get my glasses and phone out of my bag before I tuck it away in the cupboard if Mam sees anything unusual on the chair or floor, she keeps saying 'is that someone sitting in the chair' or 'is that a cat' !! and I couldn't find my phone - emptied everything out ...... no phone  then I realised I had used it in the back of the car so it must have fallen out of my bag when it fell over in the back of the car ....... and sure enough, there it was on the floor in the back phew!!
Got no chocolate Steve - didn't bring any with me and I don't plan on buying any - going to be good - no chocolate and no cakes

Didn't bother connecting to internet at my sisters last night - when we got back from seeing Mam, sister cooked a lovely chilli and rice (free on s/world plan :j) and we just sat chatting about their holidays, etc and I went to bed about 10.30 pm
I've settled into my neice's house this morning, and been down to see Mam for lunch time but she waas on her ice cream when I got there at 12.30 pm as they must have started early. She must have knocked the bowl over though, as she showed me the mesh on the sheets to the side of her, all soaked and messy. I folded the sheet back and put paper towels over so she could rest her arm there, and wiped her hand and arm clean, then fed her the rest of the ice cream. When I took the bowl back I told them what had happened and asked them to come change her sheets when they finished with everyone's lunches.
No-one came to do it, but the hairdresser came to set her hair when she finished her meds/nebuliser. She went up to ask them to lift her up the bed but they were busy with another lady. So we both lifted Mam up into a sitting position so she could start putting her rollers in, and I then left. But I told the head carer, who was in the foyer supervising a delivery, about it and she said 'Have they not done it yet - I'll get them to do it now' so hopefully, that will be sorted
Sorry about your ribs Beanie - Mr 3Dogs and I have both done that before and it is VERY painful, but as others have said, they don't strap them anymore. All you can do it take pain-killers and grin and bear it until it eases. I found sleeping the worst, as you just can't move a muscle without it being agonising pain - even breathing hurt. Do you do have our sympathies hun
good to hear you arrived safely 3D and with phone arriving too ok
i hope the carers get themselves organised and make your mam comfy again.0 -

Hiya Gang - I'm back

Mam was OK tonight and ate a bowl of tomato soup, then mashed potato and mincey gravy followed by a R0lo dessert!!!! She was chatting quietly but we couldn't understand most of it ..... but she was happy
I nipped up to close the blinds at Mam's/brother's house as he is away for a couple of nights, and then went to Mr T to get my shopping in ........... and I had to pay cash as I'd left my vouchers at home   I dumped the shopping in the house and then drove down to my sister's to park the car there and walked back up 5 minutes as my neice's car was 'keyed' a couple of weeks ago and sister didn't want their car the same
It's no bother though, it is just round the corner and it is only at night I need to park it there
How is everyone today - how are your ribs Beanie? Are you OK Kit?

Hey Susan, crumbs sorry about the car and about you leaving the vouchers. Glad your mam is eating and happy.
Spent the day doing nothing very much. I rested all day as i was so tired. Been a tough term and I need to catch up on sleep so much. I will tidy for weekend tomorrow. House is a mess. I had to move everything from upstairs into kitchen and spare bedroom, will clear it after work tomorrow.
Am dreading the work exhibition on Saturday. I know i will be tired so apologies if i dont have much energy on Saturday night.
Think i am going to have a lie down. Goodnight all.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Morning gang - rained here last night but sun keeps trying to get out this morning - hope it's OK where you are

I am just off for the walk down to pick up the car, then pop to check on Mam/brother's house, before I go down to visit Mam for her lunch - going to make sure I am there earlier today, so no repeat of yesterday;) I did check the 'book' down there yesterday, and lunch is, as I thought, 12.30 pm, which is the time I got there and she was already halfway through her dessert - so they must serve about 12 or 12.15, so I am going to get there for 12 noon to make sure
Hope everyone is OK and has a good day today. I keep thinking it is Saturday for some reason

It hailstoned here yesterday and 3 times, me and DS got caught in it!
DH had a go at me for it, but I was on my way to a MS job that they phoned me about and at £30 I wasn't going to turn it down, hailstones or no hailstones!
Plus DS got to go on the train and somewhere new, and we went to Tatco
and I just got my voucher
for Turners road merlot
I keyed it at 12.01am..... good turnaround!
Very cloudy here today too.0
