Buy it, tell them the code end of story, it works out at less than £9 per pc , it works. It is not a hog , it does what it says on the tin....yes avast is fine, so is avira, but if they know it why change . Whatever you/they decide make sure they sign up for here.

A bit like Kaspersky, can get it cheap at times on eBay or elsewhere.

If you are a barclays customer you can get a two person licence for free from their website.

dump Norton and use the brilliant Avast - free /
yes , remove the awful Norton first, reboot and then install free Avast //

Sigh:doh: Seems some people still think we're in the year 2005. Norton has always been a decent antivirus, however the previous versions were bloated and used to slow down your PC to a crawl. Norton has got its act together in the last few years and according to tests on av-comparatives.org is amongst the top performers for both detection/removal of malware and also for being very light on your pc. Norton 2011 is as good as (if not better) than the likes of Avast, kasperksy etc. Have a look at the amazon reviews if you don't believe me!

Nope , the code is in the box, they can either download (which they don't need since they have it ) so then they need to click on renew on the norton screen and it gives them the option to type in the new code.
Of course as it's a 3 pc code so don't let them share with their buddies otherwise the slower one will end up without :D

Norton Anti Virus is the most intrusive, bloated, over-hyped, control freaked, nasty piece of (alleged) PC protection software as much today as it's always been (Ok - perhaps with the exception of Real Player) If Norton was my only option, I would go for the viruses every time. The myriad of free, dependable alternatives are undeniably (at least) as good as this.
