Hmmm. let me see..... Land Register Online are operating a online business with the one objective of obtaining money by fraud. This is illegal and not the type of company that should be allowed to trade.

Yes, they are offering a service. However, the important part is that they're intentionally not doing delivering that service = FRAUD

If, in my business, I happily took customers money with no intention of supplying the goods that they had paid for I would expect to be closed down fairly quickly.

I would be interested to hear of any genuine customers who actually got what they paid for from Land Register Online but with extensive searching, I can only find people who have been ripped off by this company.
Not sure I entirely agree with you.
It is a well known fact that people voice complaints louder than compliments.
It is therefore no surprise that satisfied customers are difficult to find.

Did you read the rest of my post?
It gave you more contact details and ideas on how you might try and get your money back.

I do appreciate your advice - thank you

Just that in my book, anyone that purposely scams just one person should not be entitled to trade online. It may well be that landregistrydeeds.co.uk have fulfilled orders in the past (although I doubt it) but with all the comments online about them taking peoples money and not giving them anything is reason for their site to be investigated/shut down??
  • Beware this site is a scam it says get your results in an hour
it is now 24 hours and £14.95 later no results dispite several emails
    to them.
I should of known only a PO BOX No. for an address, no phone number
    on contact details.

I have taken someone elses advise on the forum and wrote
a recorded letter asking for a full refund in 7 days.
    I will contact my
debit card company when it appears on my statement.

I did a credit check on this company and it would seem they are
raking it in as the credit score has increased dramatically!
Only in this country, would this company still be allowed trade.

I will post any updates ...
  • This site is still live and defrauding people on line. I have reported via Consumer Direct.
  • Genuine fast response and good value for money is provided by the official UK Government Agency landregistrydotgovdotuk. I can't post website links as a new user!
  • I was pleased and disappointed to find confirmation of my initial concerns regarding the legitimacy of the website 'Land Registry Online'. Over a week ago I ordered Title Register and Title Plan documents trusting that they would be sent within the hour. When they did not arrive I assumed, as it was a Saturday, then they would be sent first thing Monday. After waiting a week, still nothing has come through. Yesterday I sent emails to order enquiries and customer service but to no avail. :(

Upon further investigation I see now that I've been we'll and truly scammed. On the website they claim to give full telephone support, strange when you consider that the website has no telephone number shown anywhere, and where it should, they've spelt telephone 'telefone', alarm bells did indeed ring, if only I'd seen that before I'd placed the order. Also, the more I look, although initially convincing ,the site now looks woefully amateurish.

I am going to send another email to try and request a refund, however, I don't hold out much hope. How does one bring scammers like these to justice and get them closed down?

The site is still live, and they must be doing well because they've put their charges up from £14.95 to £15.95 per document. So that's £31.90 down the swanny river!!

This fraudulent company is still operating. They fooled me, a scam spotter, that legitimate Land Registry site. They appear to have been doing this for at least 3 years - financing it seems an idle life in Spain. How come you haven't had them closed down? MY situation was that I had to get an "INSPIRE ID" from a different Government site. Once obtained (far from easy) it WAS easy and info was in my inbox in minutes. landregistrydeeds.co.uk have, 4 working days later provided sod all and likely will not. I am in process of claiming via Natwest Disputes.

Post #19 in that thread linked to above explains why they cannot be just shut down.
Just one paragraph from that post...
Land Registry is not in a position to challenge what is in effect a 'commercial activity' like many others. A product is bought at one price and sold on at a premium.
The rest of that post is well worth reading.
