I put my postcode in Zoopla.

The price of my house is 2000 pounds lower than it would have been one year ago.

I think you can understand why the bears happy days posts 'it's here' posts amaze me.

christ, that's a 50% fall in one year

I can say hand on heart I can think of no other house I would prefer to own. I know you can get bigger and more expensive but this place is so lovely. We used to go fishing in the stream when we were kids. Trouble is it's a bit out of my price range.

nice house, shame about the interior! would cost another £100k to sort it out. and i'm going to need a bigger slide.

It would be my dream house too Sibley....gorgeous, just gorgeous (and I like the interior too but then I am old fashioned).
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Not sure how much you could do about the interior, if your problem is with the exposed beams etc. -- it's a listed building, after all. Those aren't the stick-on plastic wood-effect beams so beloved of mock-tudor enthusiasts, you know!

now i look again, you're right, there's nothing really wrong with the interior, it was just the furnishings hurting my eyes. they burn, they burn.

I wouldn't say prices have dropped at all. Prices have not dropped where my house is.

    Erm..?

I imagine the upkeep would cost a few quid, too. My parents' house isn't a million miles from Sibley's posted house, and there are a lot of really gorgeous timber framed / hall houses in that neck of the woods.

Look, I've been stuck in Malaysia waiting for somebody to arrive from France. Work related. It's in the middle of nowhere and I've been bored to tears.

Just for something to do I looked at house prices where I live. Is that ok with you?

Youporn is banned here. What else am I supposed to look at?

    Erm..?

Instead of some stupid graph why don't you take a look at the houses for sale on the link I provided?

Print it off and show some of the sellers then come back and tell us what they said to you?

Here let me save you the trouble.

' Go away you peasant' :rotfl:

If I was selling a house and you turned up with that I would add another 20 grand to the price.

Just a shame zoopla isn't in the least bit accurate

I can bring up some zoopla valuations that are 50% overvalued from what they are currently asking on rightmove you like!
