Frankwii, i cant remember how I did it but will have a scoot round for you as soon as my internet connection is a bit better(its playing up today)

Ive had a rubbish weekend moneywise as ive probably spent more than I would in a month of weekends but a lot of it was one offs such as equipment for work and supplies.
We did spend £15 on a meal out but £15 for 2 adults and a very hungry toddler isnt bad with a drink each too

Thought work had just given me too much overtime in my pay on Friday however got my payslip today and it shows iv got a payrise! Up from £8.95 to £10.62. So cant complain...an extra few pennies in my pay :D Should be going up again in July aswel as going onto price work so get paid depending on how much i do. So this little rise will definatly help me in my quest to build up my wealth. Got a couple of new goals to work towards so going to check out my budgets and see how realistic they are. Threads getting quiet, everyone must be building there fortunes.

Hey Rictus, was thinking the same on quiet front! Great news on the payrise, like you say every little helps!

Well today when putting diesel in the van I purposely DIDNT round to the nearest pound knowing that the bank will put the difference into my savings.
A few years ago my bank went through a phase of not adjusting my available balance once id used my card so I started withdrawing cash and paying for things cash so it showed straight away and I never went over drawn. Now ive changed banks and started using the debit card rather than carrying cash I find I spend less and im getting around £5 a week put into my savings using the 'save the change'

Ive been really busy working and have 3 projects to finish this week, 2 to start and 1 to collect payment on so hopefully i'll be adding to my income there.

Ive been speaking to someone about ways of adding to my property 'portfolio' (1 house haha) and she seems to think I should be able to get a mortgage as there are lenders out there to suit every situation so im going to chat with her on a more serious note as her job is to source properties and mortgages for investors so fingers crossed.

a very easy way to make some money is risk free betting.

have a read up on the gambling introductory loopholes.

it really is an easy way to make some money for very little time.

also if you decide to do this make sure you get a referral code before you join up to betfair which will ensure you get £25 regardless of the outcome of your 1st bet.

alot of the bookies are partner friendly so both of you can make some extra money

Free advice from an experienced landlord. ALWAYS SOURCE YOUR OWN PROPERTIES. There are a lot of firms/people out there that will find you a 'Bargain' property with a 'Great' Finance package.
Always, always, always do your OWN homework.

Good luck with your challenge, I did something similar about 10 years ago, keep it going, well worth it in the end.

The betting man on deat certs - http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/article/50077/

£8,500 all in, reinvesting profits he now has £135k+ after an alleged world record 23 bets won in a row.At odds of 1/10 and worse(for those who dont know times your stakes by first number then divide by second + get your stake back. So £10 at 1/4 = £10X1=£10/4= £2.50 + £10 stake = £12.50) He was betting on odds as poor as 1/33! But it is a dead cert hes backing and yes 99% of the time he will be getting "free money" but trust me he will lose at some point.....as no such thing as free money! He will get stung sooner or later...greed gets the better of us all. The love of money is the root of all evil. He will now keep going, trying time and time again to do this over and over.

Will he be proping up this thread soon telling us how he gambled his way to £1million??

    Doubt it ;)

I will though and il be saying iv worked for it :D

    hmmm interesting.....

My husband nearly fell into the trap of going to one of these seminars that teach you how to get properties without a mortgage or some twaddle but i refused to let him pay £99 for the privilege.

I have seen loads of properties that are below £30k but the areas they are in are a bit touch and go.Im in a good position with my husband being gas/plumbing, myself being able to do the cosmetics and several other trades at my disposal but wouldnt want to spend £30k on property, £10k on refurb then have it sat empty.....

How did you start out?We have basically moved out of the home we had a mortgage on and rented it out but are now sat waiting to make our next move
