Just heard Gordon Brown is to increase fuel duty by 1.25p per litre from midnight tonight.
Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition

    Odd that with fuel costing so much the roads are full of gas-guzzling 4-wheel drive monsters.
  • Not really, most people with large vehicles like that wont even notice the increase. Its the poor people with lower incomes that will feel it. :confused:

    Mine is capable of running on bio diesel or veg oil, both renewable and clean. If I put veg oil in, I have to declare it to customs, who charge me an amount which makes it equivalent to normal diesel. So, the green tax argument peddled by the guvmint is rubbish.

    Yes, realised that later, it is dispicable of governments that they add tax to a tax. Do other countries do the same, or is it just ROB, (rip off Britain)?
