Wonder if the midwife will give me a review, was my pushing up to standard, how were my listening skills, and did I wear white enough knickers.
I am sure I was a good little performer.
The likely answer would be yes, good and no (we are hard to please after all - Daz white or nothing at all!):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Just caught up skint, have been working like a maniac - sounds all good in the hood (get me - down with the kids). Literally, just got down on my hands and knees to catch one before it bounced on the floor!

Hiya skint - night sounds amazing - my parents went twice, last night and tonight - both nights traffic was horrendous - park and ride full then tonight just couldn't get through so they came home - gutted.
We're not far though so no more than 30 mins travel time to get there.

those who teach, and those who do.
I disagree with that. People who do also teach. Look at the best people of our time, love them or loathe them, and they not only do but teach.
I am not talking about celebrities, although some of them "do" silly reality television shows and "teach" us not to go into a jungle without preparing....
I am talking about those who are a success, in their personal and or professional lives. They do what is necessary to succeed and teach those around them a valuable lesson in good working ethics and good social skills.
I remember a lovely lovely lady I worked with. She had a fairly simplistic job at work, and she performed this to an exemplary, completly professional standard. She was a receptionist with an impeccable desk, a friendly courteous attitude to the clients and the same to the staff who dealt with the clients. More than that though, she kept the place running.
She became a confidante for so many of us; one girl who worked with us was so low and flat due a marriage break up, and she kept her in work, doing her job, and maintained her sanity. Not only that she organised social events on a friendly, informal basis, with lovely food and a non competetive atomosphere. These provided us with a strong social work network and a resulting supportive environment. She truly was a great person to work with, she did a lot, and she taught me to be a better person.
I would do well to remember those lessons every day, but I easily slip in the the b*tch mode. I cant help it! I am never going to be a great person and I am unable to either do or teach really.
The best I can hope for is a good bottle of red and a lottery win.
However I feel like I can learn from people, and I also feel like I have something to give back. It could be how to wear a faux leopardskin coat, black eyeliner, heels and lipgloss mind. Thats a thing I surpass in.
However ...
My eldest graduated yesterday. I am officially elderley. Yeah ok. I had her at 19, but still. She has done amazingly well and seeing her getting her hands on her BSc brought a tear to my watery old eyes. I am at DD2 parents night tonight. Shes a bright spark but that brings its own challenges, if you know what I mean. As in wars over every little minute thing. It makes me feel 102!
As for DS he is part boy, part monkey.
Still have not got a new car, so should probably sort that asap. The snow will come, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but soon.
Still maintaining the status quo with the monies. Til the big man has been, then we will be killing those debts.
Off to the pound shop at lunchtime. Looking for Christmas goodies like candy canes and santa lollies for peoples goody bags.
Haha.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
How do - aye am not far from Durham - Sedgefield direction - without giving prying eyes any more information. And I love it.
Congrats to your daughter and I am sure tonight will leave you proud even if she is a fiesty little number. IMO that's the best kind - it gets you through life. My daughter is that way now at 4 - help!
My son too is part boy part monkey so we have a lot in common.
I am in the same boat with fighting debt on hold until the big man's been however not to be disilluisoned. Onwards, onwards!
I am feeling rather christmassy!!!!

Big congrats to you and DD1 hun, you must be so proud. Am surprisingly productive today, not in work, long story. Back tomorrow for a half day as its parent afternoon for DD1 and DD2. Not really apprehensive as they are both doing well. DD1 is like me and loves school, DD2 treats it like a chore but she is doing better as she gets older. We still have a couple of concerns about her reading and writing as we still think she is mildly dyslexic like her dad but DD1 is a mini me lol.

A bit of a lunchtime fail, I just went in Wilkinsons, however for £4 they have the 23 wash capsules from persil . Got those and some of the cheapy handwashing liquid cos its great for wood floors and alot cheaper than the special wood floor stuff.
Also rang the husband who is "ill"
Well, he was so ill this morning, when I was being sick (am ok now cos I am the tough one) and said I might not be able to make it it into work, he went out and started the car for me.
Hes probably playing computer games. and wanted me out the road.
Grr
But hes made of solid gold bless him, apart from wanting rid of me.
If hes not playing computer games he might want rid so he can dress up in my clothes, lol.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
