Smiling? Perhaps its a grimace!!!
I am trying to engage the husband in these activities - by giving him authority over the grocery budget (which he likes to do the shopping for) and the coal, electric, car tax fund etc.
I have some overtime this month plus we also have some back pay due so we can use that sensibly. I hope. Waiting for a free ebay listing weekend to come up. Got plenty stuff we can try to shift, but as everyone is in the same boat moneywise in January it might not be the best time. Got mybedroom cupboard cleaned out last night, and I am scrubbing it today. I will be going through my shoes and sorting what I can sell as well. I only wear about six pairs but insist on having loads....Trying to shift that debt!0 -
No no, its definiately a smile, just a slightly odd looking one, I am sure of it !!
Well done on the deligating ( something I am and always have been rubbish at !) and the clear out.
I agree January possibly not the best time to sell on ebay, I have a huge pile of the girls summery clothes waiting for the right time to list xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

haha I shall sally forth with the curious look of constipation, consternation and determination.
Plenty a shuns to get me through the winter.
I am craving some organisation. I want some fast results and I know its a tough lesson but I need my husband to learn it too.
He comes to me for money regularly, and while it could be ten or 15 pounds it can be more. I just need to be organised to a point of clarity with money allocated up front and the knowledge that we can get through the month without borrowing from anyone else because we have what we need sorted.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
The interim budget is set. Thanks to child support coming in.
We are running this now for a week. Any teething issues etc should come to light before we have the big budget to see us through February.
I am doing a cleaning and declutter at home, gathering my ebay stocks but I am holding off listing until I have a free llisting weekend for the new stuff. I am collecting newspaper to tear up, and I am making paper logs for my fire. I am fairly happy with how things are looking. My snowball has already dropped back to February so I am quickly making up ground which I lost at Christmas.
My husband did the cooking last night and he make a batch os spag bol, he managed to freeze a couple of full portions which will feed all of us. That is 2 meals taken care of at some point down the line.
As the weather is set to be cold but bright so I think a walk out with the dogs and a forage for kindling sticks might be on the cards as part of being healthy. We can but try!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Good Plan ! Getting out for a walk might clear your head a bit as well ! xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Been out at lunchtime as needed babywipes (2 for one deal) and also to withdraw cash to pay the builders. We can get that one out of the way.
Free parking today as I had a car park spot. I am going to have to budget for car parking and buses and where this isnt required use that money towards "something".Trying to shift that debt!0 -

By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Too right MIT my dear, I am back on the wagon. I am guilty of wanting to spoil my kids and embrace Christmas and I dont think that is a bad way to be. We all need a holiday and as my repreive from debt is three years away I will continue to take time outs, I just need to minimise the damage of those!
Today I have checked my accounts and I have paid another 50p towards debt. I was a little under the weather last night and went to my bed at half 8, so I have grabbed a packet of crisps from home. Luckily, I have some soup in my drawer at work, that should see me through until home time.
I cleaned the cupboard a bit more last night but my hands are suffering as a consequence. I will treat myself to some rubber gloves at the pound shop. I will alsoget some cheap paint brushes to use the anti mould paint.
Payday is next Friday. Yipee. the big budgets will start then.
Myself and my husband are doing 6 month plans. We have a tough six month this time, as there is no built in repreive. The following 6 months we have August and December off. The budgets will remain but there will be more spending. Hopefully we will be in a position in the second half of the year where we can get back on track quickly.
This year, I am hoping to clear three debts. Any more than that is a bonus. The 2 in my signature, plus Vanquis. As Amex is 0% interest I will be overpaying more to Vanquis. I am going all out to get rid of that.
I will also have to increase my repayments to my mam and mother in law. Again these are 0% and the money could go to a high interest one but it really can't be helped.
Meal planning is going well I will make some broth and pie once I manage to get some kitchen time as my husband is embracing the batch cooking - but I suppose I can be free to crack on with other money making schemes / house maintenance at home and at the the other house .
Should be fun.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I am going to start couponing to save some pennies. Also registering ang getting freebies, and will try my hand at comping once I have worked my way through my weekly shopping lists with coupons!
