  • A couple more comps entered. The snow is here and is here with vigour. (although its having a lull of mild blizzard at the moment)

Ive decided to leave work early and collect my daughter from school on the way.

I mentioned this to the husband who said he would be travelling with me, and then working from home for the remainder of the day. He said he may have to just go straight home himself as I have too many stops to make on the way.

Now is this not indicative of my life? My poor old dad who is pushing 70 is concerned about getting his car out the street. So therefore it comes to me to collect my daughter from school. My daughters bag is in a state fit for nothing and I said I would get her a new one today. My son is at the childminder, and I need to collect him at the due time. This adds up and at the end of any given day I have at least one errand to run. I can never go straight home.

    ANYWAY. Whinge over.

  •

Now, we all have those issues where a family member makes a gracious offer and we are thrilled but there is a dark side to it all. We have had that with the offer of a holiday. :o

This would involve my lot, MIL and FIL, 2 BILs and their girlfriends, one of whom I have met twice. A villa to house the 8 of us.

The week has already been pencilled in.

I have been sounded out about it and I passed it on to my husband to deal with and in any event he cant have that week off work.

Its a lovely thought but it is not the mindset I want for my frugal 6 months, nevermind sharing with someone I barely know.

  • I did a benefits check up and I should be getting some child tax credit or other. I will ring up and see.

Tonights fun will be: painting.... log making ... ironing..... surveys and wine (just a glass because of a tough work day) and ringing tax credits.
