well i am back on for tomorrow and hope that the interviewer recovers. It was not my shoes (they were in my bag inside a carrier bag) but I feel I should get some new driving flatties.
Todays observations : help can come from some very unlikley sources; Some men should never wear baby pink; and anticipating holidays makes a working week drag.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Right while I had my chicken dinner lumch (brought in from home naturally) and did some paper maths which is always a nice way to bring home this debt business.
I am really pleased how things are going but I am having to stop myself from looking too far ahead at the moment. Its really tempting to get in 6 debts time and think look at what I will be paying then so I will reign myself in and focus on three months at a time, and these things are what will keep me going. There will be a boring time in the middle where I will be waiting for 6 months to be rid of a debt so I might have to work doubly hard at that one...
this month I will have paid my dad back. September Rise will have gone and in October, P2P. Then I have the tricky Christmas period to navigate. I think not looking too far ahead I can keep my motivation up.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Morning observation: forgetting your coffee for work is made much worse when you are tired.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Theres a really loud mower at work outside the office. We are having a beautiful day, despite the rain which was forecast, and I wonder whether the planners who tend to schedule due to weather forecasts know something the Met office does not.
Perhaps their seaweed was exceptionally dry.
Ive got my interview in a couple of hours so I have spent most of the morning reading notes and having a look at the latest methodology and buzzwords again. I rarely use the new stuff, I tend to stick to my tried and tested methods but it wont hurt to know the new ideals. However its horses for courses and it doesnt hurt to cover all the angles.
I was feeling a bit meh about that large countdown. Following on from reading my friend MIT 's diary I think I may extend my debt free date a little too.
Im going to need a car and holiday at some point and I dont want to end up half dead with stress or the feeling of failure that I wont have met targets. We are getting better off all the time and am saving money so we can probably do both, but I am going to extend by 12 months and then reassess it every three months. Then I am easily acheiving things while having some quality of life.
I want to save up for the car and holiday and not use a credit card which I will be breaking my neck to pay off before and after.
I think I had best extend that date and perhaps I will also take an interest free loan off the mother in law to get the house finished, we can pay it back a bit at a time but it will just stop us paying out so much so quickly.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
The interest free loan will mean we can get the house finished and occupied and what we make in rent we will pay back to her and we wont have to pull out the bills we have been meeting.Trying to shift that debt!0
