Keeping track of usage
I've decided to get an iphone on contract. One factor in my choice of provider will be the ease of finding out the balance of free minutes, texts and data.
This information is vital IMO - I would even go as far as saying the contract could be held to be unfair if it is not easy to find it out, and you go over your limit as a result.
It would be extremely useful if a summary of how each of the providers perform in this respect were available. Unfortunately, I can't see one on this website, so any views/comments/personal experiences would be appreciated.

T-mobile, O2 provide online summaries of number of minutes/texts and amount of data used. O2 gives a data total count, t-mobile provide a list of each time you used data and how much.
In practice, its easier to use the phone itself to determine the data usage - and use online to check minutes/texts (although most phones have counters for that too).
The information online can be 24-48 hours behind time.0 -
For Orange see: Orange contract can you set it not to go over your allowance?
I can add that online I can see only minutes an data. Over a phone (150) my data usage isn't available.0 -
A trip to the Three website will reveal exactly what you've used, and it seems to be updated instantly. I'm fairly sure you get a Three app thingy which links directly to your usage (you do on Androind, should be the same on iPhone, surely). All in all, I find it very easy to keep track with them.0
