so how do you define a 'parasite' then. someone who doesn't work at all? someone who works and claims some LHA, someone who has more than two children? or just anyone who lives in a council house

I think it is quite easy for you to figure out what i think a parasite is just read through the thread all the information you need is there.

I will explain it for you.

I know i will not be given a council house even though i have not got one.

I know this because i have a few friends who have asked for a council house because they are having trouble saving a deposit for a house of their own due to paying a lot more money for a private rent.

They have not been given a council house and have children so do you think i will be given a council house IN MY AREA.

The area i live in is mostly made up of council estates.

I have spent a large part of my working life working on countless council estates all across the north west.

I tell you what, tomorrow go for a walk around the granby estate in toxteth and get back to me with your views.

Without knowing where YOUR AREA is, I don't know. But I've already shown you 2 areas of the North West where you could easily secure social housing.

    a few friends....

well i doubt the council has told your friends that they cannot have a house. i expect if they want a house they will have to wait.
and i dont know of anyone who goes to the council and asks for a council house and expects to get one, it doesnt work like that. you apply, you recieve your banding according to priority/need, and you bid for houses that are advertised each week.

i expect your friends were told that they would have a long wait so decided to give up. and out of frustration you blame this on 'parasites' that live in council houses and stop you and your friends from getting one
