EGG Card PPI

Just phoned Egg today. They have no complaint on their system only a record of me cancelling the payments. Have now logged complaint again and just have to wait for them to call me back. I was looking back thru the stuff they sent me and on one of the many screen prints from the messaging stuff they have said I would've been sent paperwork to sign for the CRP. I can't see anything like this amongst what I have been sent.

I have put in my complaint to EGG about my card. They have said the same as yourself about me ticking the box.

I am unsure where to go from here, do you have any suggestions

Now I am totally confused.com

I have just had 2 more letters from EGG saying that are looking into my complaint... 2 days after sending me one saying the matter is closed. :huh:

What is going on? Does anyone at EGG know what each other is doing?

Hi

Maybe the previous letter should not have been sent out, but what I would do is contact them to double check on this, just to make sure they are dealing with your complaint.

I have no experience with EGG myself but many on here have done, so hopefully they will post of their very own experience as well.

Had the promised contact within 5 working days in the form of a letter saying they now have 8 weeks to look at my complaint and that someone will contact me for further info if required. No doubt they will decline my claim citing that I signed or was sent forms etc. Doesn't get away from the fact that they haven't sent me a copy of my online application screen or a signed copy of my acceptance of the charges.

Got my rejection letter two days ago where they are basically saying I agreed to the PPI and that their credit agreement paperwork shows that. It doesn't and I didn't!! It was a pre ticked box but because they didn't send me a copy of that part of my application process I can't prove it!! I'm going to the FOS and see what they say!!

Just starting PPI claim re credit card opened in 2000.I AM SURE THERE WAS NO BOX TO TICK CAN YOU LET ME KNOW HOW YOU GOT ON WITH YOUR CLAIM OR GIVE ME ANY POINTERS

I would also love to know how you got on? I would actually also love a current phone number for egg, as because I settled in in October 2011, Barclaycard will not even look for it as accounts weren't transferred until November 2011. Grrr.

My original agreement was within the dates given here as having probably had the automatic PPI added.

Hi Emma. I've just rang Barclaycard as my Egg card was transferred over in 2011 (even though I've never used it since). I spoke to a helpful chappy who has forwarded my call to the relevant PPI people there.

He was able to see that I had paid premiums on my Egg card since the account was opened in 2006. I applied online - so am hoping the box was pre-ticked? I've never really understood things properly in the past when applying for them, so here's hoping I get something back.

Would it be classed as 'mis-sold' if I signed something/ticked without fully understanding it?
