Just got my clicker today!! :-) so will start scanning tomorrow when I get my weekly shop came just in time!! if I have any questions regarding this I hope you won't mind me posting!! thanks xx

so just done my milkman scan very easy! :-)

but

what happens when I top up my mobile through tesco when I shop there is no bar code for that ........ how will I do that anyone know? thanks xx

Hi Guys,

I joined up with TNS months ago to do the shop and scan. a few weeks after signing up with them they kept leaving me voicemails while i was at work asking why i had not transmitted anything at which point i had not even received the scanner! I emailed them and told them this and they said they would send me another. in the meantime i kept getting more voicemails and a card through the post asking for the return of the scanner as i had not transmitted anything so when it finally arrived i posted it back with a note saying that i had only just received it! I thought they would then get in touch but they havent. Did i do something wrong? was i supposed to do something before receiving my scanner? they do not seem to reply to my emails but i really wanted to do this as it seemed a nice way to save up £ for xmas food! any thoughts??!

i'm new to all this so I don't know why they did..... I signed up with them Thursday night and got my clicker yesterday Tuesday and I didn't have to do anything????? so i'm not sure why .... sorry I'm sure someone will come along and give the answer!!

I have just been to the local shop and didn't need a receipt for the goods I brought so I scanned my name, the place I got the stuff from then scanned the stuff and completely forgot about putting in the price........... ggrrrrr :mad: i'm so stoooopid!! but I did scan the price code afterwards..... can I correct this before I send my barcodes or will I have to ring them up as this is the first time using it I probably won't get my 10,000 points.... or should I scan again the correct way tonight then at least one of them is correct????????? I have tried looking at the website but no joy at the moment I will keep looking though I was just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head!! thanks xx :T

I don't know the answer but I would suggest starting again from step 1 with that shop & the items, that's what I've done when I've missed out the shopper, shop or amount. I figure that the computer their end will understand things in a certain order. Also I've accidentally scanned things in twice or missed an item before & it's not a problem (least they haven't told me it's a problem).

Often the coop don't give receipts either but I need to remember to ask for them as uploading receipts gets you an extra 500 points per week if you can scan them onto your computer & then upload via their website.

I shouldn't think they'll stop your 1100 points on Monday just because you put a few scans in the wrong order before doing it properly.

I'm telling you this assuming it's a small shop?

I received a new scanner too! I love the high tech sounding beepy noise it makes....sad eh!!!!!

My OH hates my scanning - I have also been scanning for ACNielsen with that handheld one for about 10 years too - only for cinema tickets mind you as it doesn't work out worthwhile for anything else!

Thanks for the reply, yes it was a small shop and not one which has to have a receipt.......... so will go now and re-do!! and hope like you say they understand what has gone on!! I will let you know :D thanks again xx

I scanned and uploaded some items plus pic of receipt the other day and completely forgot to scan the person, shop AND amount... lol didn't realise until I had an email from shop and scan informing me of my mistake and reminding me how to do it, they said they are still crediting me with the points though.
