Scanning as u go in the supermarket doesn't work as you scan the total first then the items.

I think there may be different types of shopping and scanning. I remember my sister in law had a more complicated process than I do, she had to weigh everything and it seemed to be much more detailed. I just scan items when I get home as I am putting them away, then scan the total last. I've been doing this for around 5 years now, I tend to save my points up for Xmas. You can get extra from scanning your receipts, but I don't bother, or from the odd survey that they send you by email. I've been doing it for so long now it's second nature to scan. When my scanner broke a while ago, it seemed really odd not to scan my shopping!

I get 1000 points for transmitting the barcodes, 500 points for till receipt scan and up to 10000 points for food on the go which me and my daughter do. So each week usually 11500 which is the equivalant of 11.50

Got an email off shop and scan a while back, you send a text to a number with details of food you buy and eat whilst out and about, you send them the place you bought it , the barcode or if it doesn't have one a description and a price. Doesnt cost anything to send the text!

You get 1000 points for texting them and 200 points for every snack bought up to a total of 20 per week. Even if you havent bought anything if you send a text on a saturday/sunday with nothing bought you get 500 points.
My daughter had an invite off them to join too and all the points go to my shop and scan total. My points add up so fast!!:D I do let her have a voucher now and again.

If your a member of shop and scan take a look on www.fotg.co.uk and try contacting them, they need your shop and scan id number , you never know they may let you join. Good luck!
  • very good. so, 5000 points is £5 then?

i like this idea, plus £1.50 from shop and scan a week

    which means 6.50 x 52 = £338

    Not bad at all

  • I've still got no bonus points :( Bit disappointed as everyone else seems to have theirs, and I have *definitely* transmitted the last 3 weeks. I emailed them on Tuesday and again today, but no reply. Not too impressed TBH!
