  • I too have had the invites, think I may just sign up having read this.

I'm not sure if the uploading of receipts is optional but I receive an email if for some reason I haven't done it.

They expect you to advise them if you go on holiday and will therefore be unable to send them barcodes/receipts during that time.

Must be optional wouldn't have a clue how to upload a receipt

Just had an invite to "exclusive" food diary.

This is a diary to record all of the food and drinks that are consumed by you and your household for one week only.

You will receive £1 worth of Reward Points each day you complete the Food Diary and a further £3 bonus at the end of the week - making a total of £10.

Signed in, found it a right PIA to use and my time is worth more than that.

Thanks for the offer but I will pass

Oo, I've never heard of this. I do Shop and Scan and Food on the Go plus the odd questionnaire they email me. Got invited to do the web thing years ago but declined as felt too much like Big Brother!
I don't scan receipts, too much hassle for 50p!

It is very easy, all I do is photograph the receipts then transfer them onto the pc. From there it is just a quick transfer from the pc to the S&S website.
At 500 points per week for 52 weeks it works out at 26000 points equating to another £20 + per year and for the time it now takes me I think it is well worth the few mins each week it takes to do :0)

the food diary gets easier once you've done it for a day or two, and especially if you can click on "food in your cupboard" rather than foraging around for an item they have called something weird/ not listed - I had butternut squash issues! called it pumpkin or something in the end.

I can't get my clicker to beep on upload today, I don't think it's done the upload :( Have followed all the problem soLving instructions etc, and even scanned a random item in the house as that sometimes clears it.

    Is it just me?

  • Hi everyone :)

I've been doing Shop & scan for about 8 months now and i've never heard of food diary/ food on the go. Is this something they have to invite me to? Or is there a section on the site i can show my interest.
I got a bit of a telling of this week, they sent me a letter saying they had had to send me several reminder emails-opse! I didn't realise it was a rolling week. I would scan my shopping Wednesday 1 week and then say Friday the next week not realising this didn't count as doing it within the week, if that makes any sense? I never realised i was doing anything wrong as i was still getting points every week. I'll stick to Sundays now!

I didn't think it was a rolling week, I do my scannings on Fri-Sun every week. They send me reminders on Sat because I emailed them to do this on a Saturday...I'm getting my points every week too?

I thought all you had to do was ensure you scan before midnight each Sunday because that's what all their emails seem to suggest!
