If it gets to Sunday and you haven't done any shopping they tell you to plug your scanner in anyway. You will still receive your points. If not they assume you have bought things and not bothered. Too many weeks of not scanning in and they cancel your account and ask for the kit back.
There is a menu option on the website for notifying them if you're going on holiday so they don't expect a submission.0 -
Ive just had an e-mail to say that i have been thrown off from this panel, the reason being im not scanning enough ! i have stated that i scan all the items that i am asked to but dont scan every item from all the shops with a Red star next too - they say im not spending enough ! what is your average spend a week ? mine varies from £40 - £100 a week depending if we have a party/birthday or visitors. we are a family of 2.5. Feedback apprecited, thank you0

I have heard of this happening before to others, but they were not scanning week to week.
I'd bet I'll be next on the chopping list! I have an eating disorder and combine that with very scarce money right now (add debt to that, rising utility bills, living some days on coffee bought by other people..etc to that and so on) I've drasticly reduced what I buy as I eat less now. I am scanning less and I wouldn't be suprized if I'm next to go!0 -
How annoying
I'm surprised I'm still on the panel really. All my clothes generally come from charity shops so no barcodes to scan there. I'm also pregnant and have spent much of the last 7 months ill so DH has been eating out/getting take aways and our families have been bringing meals over. SNS know I'm pregnant but must still be wondering what's going on!

I suspect they are looking for people to be scanning in a regular pattern - I tend to buy mainly small quantities of items in a shop but I do scan them regularly. I also even scan in when I buy a paper on its own.
I often get a message if I put in a larger spend, asking me to confirm that the amount is correct so presumably they monitor patterns of shopping as well as individual items.
Sorry you have been thrown off the panel as I find it a very easy way to make money0 -
i used to do this but took me ages to do a weekly shop as i had to type in whether the item was on offer how many i bought and the price. I was told to scan everything i bought that came with a barcode inc clothes so that is what i did. it was taking me so long to do i gave up the points given didnt see worth the time i was taking to do it all
Make £200 by end of January... £20.42/£200
Grocery Challenge £200 pm Jan £0/£200
January no spend days - 1/310 -
Just to give you all the head's up, i spoke to a manager there today and basically anyone who is not scanning what they deem sufficent will be removed from the panel.
i did have to say to her though that i have never had a letter from them, and she insists that 4 were sent to me, she also insisted that someone had telephoned me, yeah right, i can assure you no one had.
So im back on ! hoorah, i promise to be a good girl and scan every item with a barcode if they want it or not.0
