In one property we have a BT Home network setup, with a computer, and a BT ethernet router. (I dont know the make)

and a few laptops there, which pick up the Wireless signal, and work.

I have another computer, in another property. This computer is in another house, connected to the virgin internet (D-link routeR) using the ethernet wire.

What I want
I wish to bring another computer into this house, which has No card, or anything to pickup the signal.

To Bring this new computer into this new BT Setup, do I have to:
a) Buy an wirless card?- install the software from CD, let it pick up the BT singal?

b) Buy a USB card? - install the software from CD, let it pick up the BT singal?

c) Can i connect an Ethernet cable, to the LAPTOP <==> to the computer.....and let the Internet access to the computer from the laptop.

d) Can I use my D-LINK virgin broadband router, and bring it into the BT Broadband setup?

e) Would i need a network Key/number in each case, a,b,c,d

any other things I need to do, or have overlooked
?

The computer using the Virgin broadband, is connected to the D-link router via an ethernet card.

The bt network in the house is connected using a bt router, connected ==> one main computer, using an ethernet cable.

then the 2 laptops pick up the signal.

From your account it is rather difficult to visualise what you want to do. "another computer"? "this house"? It's not clear to me which...

If I could summarise your questions as:
Can I connect a PC (the "new computer") to the internet?
The answer is yes, just connect an ethernet patch cable from the PC to one of the free ethernet ports on the BT router.

    To clarify
House 1 = BT Router, connected to line via Ethernet cable + 2 laptops used wirelessly.

House 2 = Virgin internet, D-link router. One computer (connected via ethernet cable)

I want to put the Computer from House 2, to House 1. How would I do it?

Via ethernet as John gray said, or do you want it to be further away ?

You can either connect using a Wired connection (such as using a ehternet cable (RJ-45 Technical)) OR connect using a wireless card such as http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/belkin-f6d4050ed-150n-wireless-usb-network-adapter-02380468-pdt.html

If its a BT supplied router on the side/bottom it will have the SSID (called Wireless name) and the password (or passphase), if you were connecting wirelessly you would need this information, if you were connecting using a wired connection you wouldn't.

For some reason OP seems to have started up the thread again.

Sorry, I posted the thread twice, as i think i posted it in the wrong section, the first time.

NB - The Computer will be in the same Area/distance as the others...(which is about 2 rooms away) - so within the same property.

So then if one of them is connected via ethernet cable already either run a new cable to the new one or put a switch in the same room on that cable and use the original cable (from previous house) cost £5-10

    What type of swtich?
    what is it called?

or do you mean an ethernet divider ? (splits the ethernet port into 2)

and what if that router just has ONE ethernet output ?

sounds like you're making this hard for yourself. When bringing the second computer to the first house, a £5-8 USB wifi adapter wil do the trick to connect it to the (bt) router wirelessly.
