I tell you what could be a boost taxi.....when you next pay something off one of the credit cards, update your signature, go "Advanced" and then put a line through your original balance (highlight it then use wrap/strike) and then type in the new balance next to it.

It reminds you how it was when you started and you can really see it drop.

It might help to keep your morale high.

Hi all....feeling pleased with myself as I've just been looking through some paperwork and found I have another £30 cashback on Morgan Stanley card so have phoned them and ordered the cheque..it'll take up to 4 weeks to arrive but it's better in my pocket than theirs.

Hi everyone...what a lovely sunny day today!!!
Not a lot to report I'm afraid...OHs day off today so filled the taxi bought 2 new tyres and nipped into poundstretchers as they were advertising 3 under bed storage boxes with lids for £8.99...so went to get some to clear some of the clutter about the house and DH paid for them....I didn't do any food shopping so the budget is still intact....
I made a nice roast dinner today out of stuff we had in and am just buying absolute necessities when needed...so roast lamb tommorrow as well...yummy..
I've done a little housework....finished polishing upstairs and polished most of downstairs..so am getting there slowly with the cleaning...
While having the tyres changed today he noticed a shock absorber was leaking so got the guy from the garage next door to take a look...he said it would cost about £75 ..also due a service so asked him about that and he said about £100....I think that's reasonable as I usually have everything done at the vauxhall garage....probably £400 there!!!...so am going to give him a go...if he's any good I'll use him again...so booked in for 20th june ...he said it wasn't urgent...so will keep fingers crossed he is ok...he's been there years and always seems to be busy...

Hi taxi - you are welcome re: the advice on the signature thing.

Nice one finding that £30 - I would have been ecstatic if it was me, £30 is £30 and always handy.

I am sure that mechanic will be fine...better costs than the Vauxhall garage anyway!!

Hi LA ...sorry it took me a while to get back to you...I've been chilling tonight...had a long soak in the bath followed by a facial and manicure and not much else...
Go to the hospital tomorrow for my check up at 4pm....
It'll take a few weeks but £30 is £30 so happy about that as it's money for nothing...
I figured it's worth giving the garage a go as if he does a good job then he'll get plenty of business and I'll save loads of money...win win situation...that's the way I like it....
Wish i could figure a way of getting my taxi insurance cheaper with quidco..then I'll be made up....

The garage sounds great - we've found a cheaper garage and it's managed to sort a fault that has cost us hundreds to NOT get fixed at he dealership - grrr. So I love small garages :)

Hey don't worry about getting back to me taxi - you just update as and when, no worries.

    Long soak in tub...manicure & facial....bliss! :D

How did it go at hospital? I hope all is OK.

Is there really no insurance company on QuidCo who who will insure you then?

Hi you 2...hope all is well...lovely weather again today...just popped on before going to bank...
Sea glad you got your fault fixed...it's so annoying when something is wrong and they can't find the problem..
LA everything was fine at the hospital ...the consultant was really pleased with me...I did have a pain whilst there so he checked it out to make sure it wasn't an hernia(it wasn't)....and that was that....I came home took some painkillers and didn't move away from the couch all night and it seems to have gone today(so far)...DR said I'd probably done too much too soon..so....I really must take it easier!!!
TA TA for now....will be back later xxx

    Hi everyone:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:
Hope everyone is ok:D :D:D Not a lot to report...forgot to mention I heard from Airtours at last...but they just skimmed over my complaint and said they are not going to offer compensation:mad:    So I contacted IDRSltd (an independant arbitration place)...and have received the form this morning....so will look into that over the next couple of weeks...
Went for a walk to the bank this morning and popped into my friends cafe for a brew(free) and I get a lovely natter....did my shopping...grand total £4.75...only need some bread in the next couple of days...
Done 3 lots of washing and all is on the line....very DFW...not a lot of moneysaving going on at the moment ....
Proud of myself as I've worked out a proper budget for all the taxi expenses so will be starting this as soon as car is serviced...
