Hi taxi!
I echo what hypno said....be very careful re: the driving. It doesn't feel that it was too long ago that you came home from hospital, it feels too early for you to be thinking about going back to work honey.
However I know you know your own body & how you feel so I won't fuss too much!Just take it slowly or you'll undo lots of good work.
It's great that Halifax is now UNDER £500!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi LA....sorry I'm not going back to work until September...The driving will be personal use...I had my op 6 weeks ago this wednesday..and they say you can drive after 6 weeks...so OH suggested driving on the car park before going on the road in case I can't manage...I won't be driving if it hurts...
Believe me I'm taking it slowly as I haven't done any housework yet but am going to try a little this week...
I see my doctor tommorrow and am going to check with her first...if she says no..then I won't do it..
Thanks for the concern...it's nice to know people care...0 -
I can empathise with you itching to get back behind the wheel again, Taxi.
When I broke my wrist and had a plaster cast from knuckle to elbow I was desperate for my independence again after the initial novelty of being chauffered everywhere wore off (about 2 days :rotfl: ). I was so desperate I was going to try driving again with the cast on but my Doctor was adamant that if I was involved in an accident my insurance would be invalid because a plastercast like that constitutes not being in full control of the vehicle!
I was counting the days in the end to being back on the road. It was the thing I wanted to do most after the cast came off. Housework etc....forget it! That could wait (or OH could carry on doing it for the first time in his life. Good experience for him:rotfl:)
Sorry to digress. Just wanted to wish you well as you've been an inspiration, not just in how you've been tackling your debts but in how you've coped with all that life has thrown at you lately. Take care of yourself and :beer:0 -
Thankyou Imp ..me an inspiration...never seen myself as one of those..lol..I got the go ahead off the doctor so will try tommorrow..yippee!!0

Hi everyone...
As usual not a lot happening here but am pretty pleased with myself...I have updated my sig today as this month my overdaraft has come down by £317.71!!....I'm quite shocked at that as I've aso paid loads off the CC...
I managed to get an egg card yesterday for £6500 amd am thinking to transfer £5000 into my current account...to pay the O/D..sofa and my car insurance will be due 6 september about £1500(I will transfer that amount into my high interest account)..as I will probably be just about going to work then...
This will bring the debt to just under £10000...and £833 p/m will be enough to clear this in 12 months...so am happy with that...
Then just my income tax to worry about for jan so thinking of putting so muc away a week now...then I should be covered anything else left over will be a bonus...
Going to a friends tonight with OH to watch football ...a cheap night as I have a bottle of wine and OH has 6 bottles of beer...felt I need to celebrate as haven't had a drink or been out in ages...
Had a walk to town and back but my stomach is hurting now..so that was too much for me....so will have to leave that for a while now...
Nothing else to report..so have a good day!!0 -
Hi everyone...:hello: :hello: :hello:
Not a lot to report...just paid £122.70 off my CC and updated sig...
Been a bit down and can't be bothered sort of mood for the last couple of days...but...I don't know why:mad:
Going to nip to town in the car tommorrow to do the banking as I can't walk that far and back again...so it's cheaper to go in the car and pay a pound to park...
Stayed in all day today and yesterday...not like me ..but as I said I can't be bothered...
I'll get off now as I don't want to bore anyone....0
