Thanks hypno..
I think I'm getting used to them now...it'll probably be the end of the month before the next onslaught..but I will keep trying to think of things..0 -
Hi everyone...hope everyone has had a good day.
Not a lot happening here at the moment. We went to Asda yesterday (i only needed A jar of bovril)...and ...spent £93...all on food shopping and I only needed 1 item....it also wore me out..and I slept for 3 hours when I got back!!!..def no shopping next week..
MBNA have now received there £4800 from Barclays so have paid the remaining £5 to clear the balance...so will cancel the card tommorrow...
Apart from that nothing else DFW at the moment.0 -
A scarily expensive jar of bovril
Must try harder

Well done on sorting out the Barclaycard/MBNA transfer, that's great that it's at 0% for 13 months.
After that Asda trip, it will be back to storecupboard challenge for the month of june.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Hi everyone...
What a stressful day!!!...Firstly, I rang MBNA to cancel my card and to complain about the £12 charge they are going to charge me for my failed DD which wouldn't have even been due until next week!!!...I asked them how they can charge somebody who has already paid them their balance in full before the DD is due..£12...they said they could ..I said I'm cancelling my card they said we are still going to charge you!!!
When I get my confirmation letter ..I will cut the card up...to add isult to injury somebody from MBNA called this afternoon to offer me another 0% BT offer...I asked if they knew I'd cancelled the card..they said no as they were an outsource dept and wouldn't know for a few days!!!
I got the confirmation from halifax that my one account is now shut..so..can cut that card up...
Managed to pay another £55 off the Halifax card today...so am happy about that...
Got a letter off ABTA saying that they'd wrote to Airtours requestig that they reply to me within 14 days ...we'll see!!!
I have to have a back to work interview at job centre....I don't need a job..as have own business.....rang them they said I have to attend or they'll stop my IB....what a waste vof taxpayers money...
Rant over...sorry0 -
Hi everyone...Hope everyone is well!!
Didn't bother posting on here over the week-end as nothing at all happening in my world!!!..Still not much happening...I have been for a walk today and managed to pay another £40 off Halifax CC bringing it to under £500....YIPPEE!!!!!...so that will soon be gone...
I've only spent 45p today on some mushrooms....to go in my chilli or savoury mince for tommorrow...
My challenge for this week is to have a go at some housework and to make a start on my accounts...all boring stuff but still needs to be done....I have an appointment at tyhe doctors tommorrow so am going to ask when I can do a little bit of exercise ie swimming as I've put 7lbs on since the op...I really do need to lose weight...7 stones now!!!...
I'm also going to have a go at driving the car on the car park and if I can do a emergency stop without it hurting too much..then I can drive....so will have to wait and see!!0 -
Don't rush things too soon with the driving. I know how important it is to you to be able to drive and to get out and about, but another few days might do you a lot of good - even though things may seem to be healed from the outside, there will be a lot of hidden work still to be done.
good news about the halifax card though - under £500!!! Woo hoo!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
