            It would drive down costs and probably lead to less disruption due to strikes. I do not believe that it would lead to a lessening in quality either as employees would know that if they did not do their job properly, they would be out.
 Probably not that relevent anymore as I would suspect that tubes will be driverless before long anyway.

            Minicab drivers are nearly all self employed, and most are OK.

 I cannot see that cutting down on (what many consider to be) inflated wages would make any difference. Taking away the effective monopoly of labour could actually improve things.0
