    Probably not that relevent anymore as I would suspect that tubes will be driverless before long anyway.

    Minicab drivers are nearly all self employed, and most are OK.

    they are not self employed by choice. it's what happens when you have no unions. you clearly don't use the same minicabs i use.

    I cannot see that cutting down on (what many consider to be) inflated wages would make any difference. Taking away the effective monopoly of labour could actually improve things.

    Well try a few cab firms until you find a decent one, they do exist.
