OK flyladies. Anyone got any idea where I decluttered my engagement ring to? In serious s**t with my DH if I can't find it.

Dinner last night was a success. All the HRH's seem to have had a good evening. Thank god there were no family bust-ups. I'm sick of having to be escorted to the ladies to avoid being assaulted. DH looked very smart in mess kit and medals and I managed to find a size 12 dress. Yipppeeeeee :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway, flying to be resumed tomorrow. Couple of frogs to be digested too.

((hugs)), spoons and mules as required.

  • AJ My thoughs and prayers are with you and OH for tomorrow.

Solstice_Twilight welcome as other have said baby steps is the way forward and start by decluttering. Also rather than waiting til you have gotten the place clean to get a cleaner,I'd get one now as Im sure that most cleaners will have seen homes far worst that yours.

Pixie Fairydust (((Hugs))) as toots has said get the othe adults in the house to muck in with the housework.

Missus Aka (((hugs))) and coping vibes coming your way.

Pigpen May the fleas of a thousand camels infest kH crotch and may his arms be too short to scratch them.

Mumof2 Glad things went well with the therapist today and your feeling strong enough to address issues from your past. OH has PTS and has being undergoing CBT to help him deal with this and it has really been positive as it help him deal with other issues as well.

Visit to Mr T's to stock up new fridge freezer and then OH and I went and walked dogbot, whilst DD did the hoovering for me.

as soon as DH walked out of the door to go climbing, both the blinking kids woke up. Well my chips had just come out of the oven so we all sat there eating oven chips, then I put on TOy Story for them and got on with the bloomin quilt with the apprentice on the lap top. Needless to say that an hour with them being loosely supervised and in a mischievous mood has resulted in widespread devastation of the house. Namely - toys everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Some of it was very sweet though - like all 20 animal finger puppets arranged around Joseph's pillow like a halo.....I've got a good hour tidying and sorting tomorrow now when I really just need to crack on.

Oh and my hand is still numb/tingling - this surely isn't right????

    Hope everyone is ok
    xx

Would it be worth considering leaving DS1 (almost 20) and DD1 (almost 17) in charge for 24 hours???? ..

Not with Squeak obviously but with the others at 15, almost 14, 12, 10, 8 and 6... Or is it too stupid a concept to even think about?

My mother said they'd be fine.. but it might induce me to breakdown status...

So long as they understand the responsibility and know what/who to contact in an emergency I see no reason why not. How many kids did you have by the age of 20? What will cause less stress? Going away with them left in charge or staying and havig them all on your own?

ETA will be thinking of you all tomorrow AJ
