Plusnet

I'm moving house in June and have a chance to re-do all my utilities with the best deals.
Plusnet seems the best deal - does anyone have any experience with them they want to share with me, good or bad?
If not Plusnet, does anyone recommend any others?
cheers

I personally have never had any problems with them, been with them a year or so now.
I would recommend phoning them with any problems you do have, rather than their online service though.:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
We've been with them for 5+ years - both broadband and phone.
We've never had a problem with them. Have phoned a couple of times to discuss changing provider and they have always come back with a better deal.
They are based in Yorkshire so no communication problems (not being racist here but we have all had problems at some time or another with call centres outside the UK).
Very easy to get in touch with and very quick to respond to queries.
Just bought my daughter a laptop so needed to go wireless. Phoned them up and they sent a hub which arrived within 2 days.0 -
I've been with them for about 7 years. In that time I have had 1 problem, which was about 5 years back. It was quite a major problem and to be honest it wasn't really handled the best way - they had a breach of their security and a lot of their users email addresses were compromised - they were very slow at dealing with it and although they did put measures in place to deal with the resulting spam and allow some of the worst effected to change accounts, it did leave a sour taste with a lot of users. However as I say that was a long time ago, and that is the only problem I have ever had with them.
Anytime I have needed to ring them about anything they have been great and answer the phones really quickly, and as they are a Yorkshire company that gives them an added thumbs up from me anyway. I have found if you email them through the query system that they are also quick at responding too.
I was recently going to move away (purely as I was going to get a better price elsewhere) they immediately offered me a better deal to stay. So yep, despite that 1 problem I had, yep I would recommend them.0 -
Another happy customer here for 18 months.....

Im also a very happy customer, just given them a call as i was going over my value allowance each month and it was getting out of hand, been given a discount off the top package with no hassle or fuss,
would happily recommend them to anyone !Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
Without knowing your broadband usage, impossible to say. Plusnet Value is a good budget package, but it is both traffic shaped and limited to 10GB per month. If that's enough for you, and you are on a Market 3 exchange so can get it for £6.49, then fine.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I have been with them for just over a year now and very happy. Only had two things i've problems with (prob down to me anyway) 1)Couldn't get the Internet set up with old wired router, but they helped me set up my a wireless router I had brought a while before joining with them, and 2)I didn't set up my email at first, but when I wanted it set up the plusnet's online help helped me set it up.0

You are all aware that Plusnet is owned by BT right?
Was a customer of Plusnet from the start (prior to plusnet it was known as force9) left them when I got cable broadband even know people who work for them.
BT bought them up a while back runs it as a distinct brand to give the illusion of choice.
Can't give any pointers to what they like now but they used to be brillient.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
Hi,
Thanks all. Has anyone tried the Plusnet/Primus combination as recommended on the main site?
Cheers0
