Not long got it back from insurance (6weeks or so) and I dropped the phone face down on the kitchen floor last night, cracked straight through the top right corner, to the point where I can lift off the screen corner if I wished erm.gif

To top it off, the touchscreen is now fudged too and won't respond to touch so can't unlock it to use it etc. sad.gif

If I take it to an Apple shop, how much they likely to charge to replace it?

It's the 3G and I'm not going to spend much on it anymore as it's fairly old, may be getting rid if it's costly as can't justify it or upgrading right now sad.gif

Anyone know what the cheapest PAYG phone is at mo on the High Street?

looking at around £50 for a screen fitted, £65 if touchscreen as well

I'd use a 3rd party repairer as cheaper than Apple

1p+£10 topup (sim with the credit can be sold on ebay) at CPW, e2save, osps, mobiles.co.uk.

    £6-7 cashback (quidco, TCB).

    Thank you :)

Just rang the Lloyds TSB phone insurance people that I used last time. Had disregarded them at first as somebody told me that the iPhone repairs were rising from £30 to £100 as of April; that was !!!!!!!! though obviously, as they've just said they'll do the same again for £30 :)

Cheaper than any other alternative I've found so far, just means I need to find/borrow another mobile in the meantime.

What is the cheapest handset on the High Street guys and girls? Don't need the PAYG tariff now bt thanks for the links, much appreciated! :)

What's the betting if you called them someone called Daniel would answer the phone, quite likely methinks. Spam reported.

    Edit: Methinks I was right...
