The best way to do this would be - of course - to build more of the right sort of housing in the rights area i.e. where there are jobs.

I somehow doubt labour is expensive here because of how expensive it is to purchase property. The high social security costs and red tape are likely more of a factor (uncapped 13.8% employer NI anyone?).

I'm aware this won't stop you [STRIKE]think that you are entitled to[/STRIKE] hoping you get a big property for not much outlay though.

It's nothing to do with the "big property" I can afford that anyway. Just don't see why some of us when we actually work hard should line the pockets of someone else who hasn't done anything - that makes the economy inefficient, you get people sat around on these forums talking carp as a prime example, and I don't see why I shouldn't be protective of my wealth. That's the problem with buying with credit, it's all too easy when its not your money. Try actually earning it in cash and you might see the huge amount of options you have to be innovative instead of chucking it on some poxy property.

Anyway you're coming across as a bit jealous. I'm not as hung up on property as you are because I've earned my wealth through sheer hard work already.
