CSA says I am the father – but that's impossible!

There is one more fatal flaw in the OP's make money scheme. He is making an assumption that the CSA will continue to make reperation in these cases and that sometime over the next eighteen years the system doesn't change to make the PWC liable for those repayments.
Just a thought !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
To be honest i've lost count how many fatal flaws there in his plan0

b) the upfront fee is not the issue. I find it odd the CSA takes an an unsupported claim to be fact, and conveys it to me with vitriolic correspondence containing phrases such as arrest warrants, bailiffs, and prison.
Its fair to say that no formal offer of a perternity test has been made, nor have I seen the form DUTR refers to. Getting my address right is the CSAs problem and if they choose not to do so then that is their prerogative. I expect it was never sent, or my ex gave a wrong address, possibly of a property that is currently tenanted. I did have a strange call from woman from the DWP with a shirty attitude and asking about my birthday. I told her to contact a solicitor.
The CSA letters generally mention bailiffs and so on to ensure that anyone who doesn't comply with them know what the potential ramifications are - it keeps people from saying "I didn't think they would take me to court"...
Also, it sounds as though you have received *some* post, so whether they have sent it to the correct address or an address where you have lived is irrelevant - it's obviously an address where you can still receive your post.
Normally they will ask the PWC where you live, and check the Government's central information service, if they match up then that is where they will issue any correspondence to. If post comes back marked DLO, then they will do credit searches, and see where you have bank accounts. They will also see what address Inland Revenue hold for you, and if you continue to 'let them steamroller' your case then they will most likely deal directly with your employer, set an assessment and then get the money taken straight from your wages.0 -
I still think this is a troll, I don't believe that anyone could be so willfully obtuse and belligerent.0

I agree PFTF!! The question is so stupid it's unreal!!! On the off chance it's real, take the test, if it's positive, pay up, if not, walk away!! Job done!!!!0

But whilst (If your not the day) you think this is a great investment.
What about the child, 16 years of a man paying maintence money, so child assumes you are the father.. for you to turn around later and say no your not mine i've done the dna, turn you back on the child??!!
Try the Jerry Kyle show, dna is free isn't it, go for the lie detector too.
Seriously just have the test now, don't even think about making money, that is spiteful, you may want to get one over on the mother, but is it fair on the child? Child didn't ask to be born so can i ask you if you think it is fair that the child has to be stuck in the middle of the 'alleged' parents playing silly games with each other?0 -
I have been to see my ex, and met the child for the first time.
He is a half-cast and the father is a local guy who is as black as the ace of spades. He works at Halfords and does not plan to continue because they lose benefits for their rent and counciltax and its straddling them with debts.
I showed her the CSA correspondence file including my (CSA-refuted) denial I am the parent, but she says she only named me the father because she figured I probably would not challenge the claim.
She clearly has not bonded with the child, she dangled him at me as though she wanted me to do the coddling. When we were together I never wanted a child with her because I felt she wasn't ready. She was more interested in partying, clubbing and going on jollies in Ibiza as (then) 18 year olds do.
I have also discovered a DEO may not have worked because these apply to paid employees, and I am a partner in a civil engineering practice. We met at university and formed the practice after we graduated, however the partnership does have salaried employees mainly administrators, sales and office staff. I think there is a degree of assumption on the CSAs part.
My ex has agreed to discontinue the claim with the CSA and I now await their reply.0 -
Do you really think this is the right board to be peddling your stories? People here have very real problems, if they wanted Jackanory, they'd watch CBeeBees. Go down to DT and see how far you get!!! 0 -
Kelloggs is RIGHT!!!......(Thanx for all your advice on our case Kelloggs..;))
Get the DNA test done asap and get the facts straight, RIGHT from the start...
Just taken the CSA to Court myself ( on behalf of my OH as he is registered disabled and unable to attend due to his illnesses) after almost 14 years of my OH denying paternity ( right from initiation of case)..and have FINALLY got the CSA to admit they SHOULD have offered him a funded DNA test...
Now awaiting acceptance from QC & PWC ( questionable child & parent with care, although QC is no longer living at home due to her age) to have the test..Then we are all systems go...(I pray...)
A CSA case will never go away...as you can see with OUR fight...
PLUS you will pay up to 40% of your wages if the CSA decide to clean you out for maintenance...
Much cheaper in the long run (if QC is not yours)..and once its done..you KNOW for sure IF you are the Daddy or not!!!
Plus IF the test comes back negative you CAN apply for a refund on the fee and get the £300 back...
For the sake of closure and a clear head ( after all the stress WE have gone through in our fight..trust me..it WILL do your head in once they get their teeth into the case) I would advise that you find out asap...;)
Good Luck...:)0 -

When you say half cast, we are sure you meant to type dual heritage
I have to agree with some of the others that you are posting as a troll.
Black as the ace of spades eh, you know they saying once gone black they rarely go back :rotfl: obviously only he could reach the parts that you can only dream about reaching, she must have felt so secure in his big strong muscular arms, felt so hot in his presence there was no need to wear pyjamas, have a look up on the white witch of rose hall, there are somethings money just can't buy, even if you won tomorrow's euro lotto, you may still be lacking in certain elements of practical life
