but always tried to have unprotected sex

Are you sure that's what you meant? :rotfl:

Anyway assuming you meant "always tried not to have unprotected sex" that's not the same thing as "we never ever had unprotected sex" is it?

Go and get the test done (or give up winding people up!)
  • Im not ignoring them, I just didnt respond to a letter that looked like it was written by a fruit & nut case. They couldnt even get my name right and the arithmetic was demented.

I havnt been on any dead beats website. I googled CSA forums and it points here. There was another site about CSA hell but couldnt take it seriously.

*seriously contemplating banging head on brick wall*

If you're for real....get your head out of the sand and phone them first thing Monday and get it sorted. You might not like the figures or the tone, but it'll only get worse. Good luck.

Civil engineer on £180k and you are considering option 2? 15% of your take home pay must be about £1300 a month. You're either having a laff or you are nice but dim which would explain why the girl thought it would be a good idea to put you down as the father.

Money is not the issue, I considered turning a problem into a money trail. But many here think the risk it too great. Also legislation could be passed negating my right to reclaim it later.

What like asking you questions about your date of birth???

It might have been. It was as though she wanted to know my starsign (Aries) but I doubt astrology is reliable in determining whether I am the father.

You will get used to that with the CSA.

Nearly all of their staff seem to be a can short of a six pack.

Is that a requirement for being a civil servant maybe?

the date of birth thing is to help determine they are talking to the right person, not to help ascertain whether you are the father are not.

Stop being paranoid and deal with it!

Hahaha if you are thinking of taking on the CSA just for the hell of it you are out of your mind - be afraid - there are easier ways to invest your money :rotfl:

No disrespect to the hundreds out there who have had the misfortune to come up against the CSA, both parents with care and non resident parents, but you really wouldn't go there if you didn't have to.

It is very simple, PWC fills out a form saying you are the father. The CSA don't know if you are or not, since they weren't there. They have to send the forms to you to ask you to either confirm or deny parentage. You deny parentage. they will start the ball rolling in respect of a DNA test. You go and have it done, and wait the results. If you are NOT the father, you get the fee back. If you are the father, you get assessed.

Otherwise, you get sent the forms, and ignore it. The law allows the CSA to assume that you are the father if you a) fail to respond within a given timescale, or b) refuse to have a DNA test. You will have great difficulty in getting any money back because you had the chance to deny parentage but chose not to.

Just fill in the form denying you are the father and get the test done - job done.

Or are you hoping for a win win situation - PWC gets paid over a grand a month for x amount of years, you claim back after x amount of years, but as you stated CSA don't claim back off PWC they foot the bill themselves. So PWC gains thousands, CSA loses thousands, NRP loses nothing/gains maybe a little interest! Could be onto something there!!!
