awww really???dont kno what to do then....the kids r really looking forward to it,

If it is already booked I would go and make the most of the entertainment. My kids loved the night time entertainment.

My advice would be to take your own bedding and if you're planning on cooking take your own pots etc.

When we reported the state of the room we got told that they were aware of the problems with rooms and that it is on their long term plan to sort them out. Not much good for now though.

The pakefield one is a dive. i live right next door too it and you only get old people in there and there is nothing to do around here either.
The nearest town is Lowestoft which is chav heaven and every other shop is closed down i would not even waste my money going there to be honest i would rather spend a bit more and go somewhere decent ie butlins etc

Didn't witness any drinking, fighting etc but our car did get damaged. The back windscreen wiper and the Arial both got snapped off. Didn't realise the arial had been done till after we left and turned the radio on. All the windscreen wipers on about 50 cars I saw as we were leaving had been lifted out of place and most looked broken like ours was. Luckily it only cost a small amount for us to put right, it was just a pain having to sort them.

We went last year to Prestatyn for the first time, and had a great time. I had no expectations at all, and didnt read any reviews before going. Here's my list of pro's and con's:

    Cons:
The chalet is a glorified bedsit.
    The curtains are very thin
The seaguls wake you up early
The shower has very low pressure and is on a timer that you need to press every 5 seconds or so.
There were a lot of activities that you have to pay extra for
Some activities were not available, even though it was height of season.
The bed is like a trampoline.
The electricity is on a meter

    Pro's
The location was a great base for discovering north Wales.
There was a great swimming pool with great water activities and free swimming lessons
    The ice rink
The entertainment - all day and night
The shop - great for buying basic foods (and wine which I took into the bar area at night - chavvy I know, but needs must!)
The chalet was clean and had a great wooden floor (no dirty carpets)
They have a free soft play area.
    The day time entertainment agenda
The bluecoats seem really enthusiastic and professional all day (even when not working)
There was a very good pub providing 2 meals for £10
The kitchen has all that you need (which makes you realise what you dont "need" at home)
The kids loved every minute of it (which is the best part of any holiday)

I think if you book, knowing that the accommodation is very basic, then you will have a great time. Its all about expectations IMO.
I would definitely go back, purely for the kids, but I think I may have got luck with the accommodation after reading some posts on here.
