LOVEFiLM Free Voucher - Anybody else not received theirs after 30 days?

  • I've sent details of voucher problems to watchdog. The more the merrier... (what else can we do?)
  • I signed up for the £20 voucher and 30 day Free Trial and have since been in touch with LoveFilm who sent the following response

    I would like to advise you that if you have followed the instructions in the promotion, then the free £20 Amazon voucher will automatically be dispatched to you within 30 days from the date the required criteria are met.

    This offer requires you to fulfill the criteria below in order to be eligible for the free voucher, including:

    * Registering for a free trial period,
    * Filling in all the required personal information,
    * Using the required promotional code OR specific web page to register
    * Adding at least 10 items to your selection list at the time of registration.
    * First time customer
    * One dispatch

    I can see from the records of your account that you did not add 10 titles onto your selection list at the time of registration, therefore unfortunately, we will not be able to send the free promotional material to you as the eligibility criteria has not been met.

    Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

    I've since gone back to them as I went from the T&Cs listed here: www lovefilm com/partnership/lfam1520e and regarding item 12 I cannot see anywhere on the LoveFilm site where it states that a requirement is to add ten items to your wishlist.

    What a load of rubbush!
    Im waiting to hear back regarding this and details on making a formal complaint regarding this :mad:

  • I signed up with them last month using a £20 Amazon voucher code and received my voucher within two or three days. Have since used it to buy Christmas presents :):)

  • I signed up, received 1st dvd, sent it back then cancelled. Didnt receive my voucher within 3 days so I emailed them and they said I did not qualify as I did not enter a promotional code when registering. (maybe I didnt I cant remember)
    All I know is that I found a link off a different website to MSE about the lovefilm/amazon promotion and all over the webpage it was saying to register for a 30 day free trial and a £20 amazon voucher, therefore I assumed I did not need a promotional code as the lovefilms webpage mis-led me to believe I didnt need one. So I emailed them twice and got the same replies ''you did not enter a code and do not qualify'' So I thought I'd try one last email.
    So I emailed them and threatened to contact trading standards as its very mis-leading and false advertising and I'm entitled to my voucher through the official lovefilm webpage I used to register and that I dont want to receive 2 unhelpful identical emails.

    They sent back an email the next day saying ''were very sorry we can now see you used a voucher code that entitles you to your free voucher and you do qaulify, you will received it shortly and we will be passing details on about your previous email to our management to look into re-training staff'' - My voucher was waiting for me in my inbox next to their reply!
  • I received my voucher within 2 weeks so I am happy they did send it to me. I have not used it yet but still have along time before it expires.
  • I registered in January with Lovefilm, added 10 titles to my wishlist. first one was sent to me. Watched it sent back. Took all other titles off wishlist.

    £20 Amazon Voucher came in the post :-)

    Cancelled LoveFilm online.

    No problems at all. I recommend to anyone.

    I have recently received another £20 voucher. This voucher actually states become a paid member. That's still a great deal:

    1. Two months of LoveFilm membership (2 Films)
    2. £20 Amazon Voucher
    3. £4.99 to pay for 2nd month membership

    Total gain: £20 - £4.99 = £15.01

    That's an amazing 300% Return on investment in 2 months. That's a 1800% ROI per annum. try to get that from an ISA :-)

    ... plus free films to watch.
