moneysaving arms or something ??
save going through reams of posts that have no direct relevance to Martins original post ??
The "argument", as you like to call it, is a debate about whether or not people should opt for buying cheap unknown brands or pay extra for well known ones. We all have differing ways of getting our messages accross.
Perhaps with your approval we can carry on???0 -
 exactly FleetFanatic, you spend within your means. When we can afford to spend more I've no doubt we'll upgrade again:beer::rudolf:0

We're quite happy to debate the finer points of LCD TV's in a thread, funnily enough, about LCD TV's.
Before you storm in and tell us...Browntoa wrote:perhaps you lot could take your arguement elsewhere ??

You're welcome to start a thread there yourself if you like.0 -

Many good points raised regards the sense of buying this (and similar) sets.
One other point not mentioned is to not to assume that because 'Niponectronics' make good fridges or stereos, that their TVs must be good, too.
Sadly, the boxes all LOOK better if badged by the same Co and are the same shade of silver (Yuk) or grey or black but usually, not being loyal to one brand will result in better technology in your lounge.
And conversely, better value for money."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

Not true in every case, but a very valid point to make.0 -
I have just checked my 'local' Woolworths in Kingston, Surrey and they have stock that could be delivered by 13 December. Happy shopping!0

Just out of interest, I bought a 26" Samsung LCD with built in free view and HD ready at Easter from John Lewis online for £649 - its really brilliant. So, may be half way between the cheapos and the over the top prices if you are looking for one.
Oh and buy through quidco.com and get your percentage cash back. Boots are giving really good deals on triple points at the mo - and again, you can buy through quidco. Just bought a Canon range cooker on there, not only was it the cheapest on the net it came with about £100 of points and £30 cashback by buying it through the quidco link0 -
We don't all need a Charles Darwin like Origin Of The Species thesis and lecture on buying a TV.
Good for you, Red.
My post was not intended as either, but then your admiration of brevity at the expense of clarity is presumably the reason why you can't offer anything other than contributions to this thread as terse as they are vague.
Even though you're evidently so knowledgable on this particular subject.0
