LCDs are not that bad, except for young children. Of course this is only an educated opinion, not and expert opinion

What bollox!

Cheap usually means 'CHEAP QUALITY' doesn't it? And two sets at £399.00 in ten years costs more than one that'll last ten years, so is it Money Saving?
I've got an acoustic solutions surround sound system, and a DVD player, and they're both cracking. I have no reason to doubt the quality of the TV.It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
We got a TECO from Aria a couple of months back, and for those who can't afford to spend top dollar, but don't want to keep waiting for the prices to drop, it's a great tv! But then we had a 21" basic panasonic and had waited long enough to upgrade! Also didn't have to wait for the woolies deal as others seemed to have to:T:rudolf:0

Perhaps you hadn't noticed that?
Duh.
Perhaps if you'd restricted your post to the last sentence where that was the one point you'd actually made clearly and concisely that may have helped. To be honest, by that stage i'd lost the will to live.
We don't all need a Charles Darwin like Origin Of The Species thesis and lecture on buying a TV.0 -

Complete nonsense.
Both are digital technologies.0 -

The Teco is the one budget brand i'd consider getting. I've read very good user reviews on it.
It's supposed to be a rebadged Viewsonic.0 -

The BBC first transmitted digital Nicam stero sound on August 31st, 1991 (it developed the technology in the mid-1980s)
It also developed Teletext which was launched in 1973 with ITV also joining forces to introduce Oracle.
It's wise to check your facts before posting...:-)0 -

And that sums up why some people are happy with these budget lcd's and others aren't. It really does depend on what one is upgrading from as to how impressed one is likely to be.mirandamayhem wrote:We got a TECO from Aria a couple of months back, and for those who can't afford to spend top dollar, but don't want to keep waiting for the prices to drop, it's a great tv! I got the Samsung 40" one because I had seen it a few months ago at a far dearer price and that was the tv I wanted.
£828 (after discounts) well spent? You bet!!!Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
