Is my bridesmaid out of order???

I was my cousin's bridesmaid when I was about 18 (18 years ago) and she had her mobile hairdresser to do the BMs' hair, but this hairdresser used to do my family's hair when I was a kid and the last ever time she cut my hair, she made me look like a choirboy. I looked in the mirror and cried my eyes out. I never let her touch my hair again. And I stick to that, even for my cousin's wedding. I look back on that in shame now and wish I'd gone along with what my cousin wanted.
Could your BM not have one of her friends come and do her hair? They could practice beforehand and it could be quite fun. As long as you liked the finished result, that is...0 -

she backcombed it then put it in a french roll and I absolutely hated it but felt like i couldnt say anything as she spent about 45 minutes doing it. I spend all day feeling uncomfortable at the wedding and everytime someone said "your hair looks nice" I felt they were humoring me (even though some of them probably meant it).
see it from her side - you dont want her to feel comfortable surely?
could she not just buy some curling tongs and do it herself?
Awww you shouldnt say that about yourself. x
I digress. OP I would let her do what she wants with her hair (within reason.) You want her to enjoy the day and enjoy being a bridesmaid so she needs to feel comfortable. I dont think all bridesmaids should all have to have the same hair in any case as they will look like they have been cloned rather than being themselves. Hope you get it sorted. x0 -
I got married last weekend, and I let my bridesmaids pick the hairstyle they were happy with...as it was they all had pretty much the same (age ranges from 7-36) but I wanted them to be happy and comfortable so it was completely their choice...and it really showed in the feel of the day...everyone felt great and were happy and full of smiles because they felt comfortable...that's what people will remember about your day. Seriously no one will be saying "my god...can you believe that so and so had a different hairstyle !!?" Really.. people don't care about things like that. (or if they do.. then is that opinion important??)
Yes it is your day, but in my opinion if you want someone to be your bridesmaid it's about them having a day to remember too...I wanted my girls to shine on my day along with me...
Ps My hairdresser did curls on all my girls which were then pinned to the side...she did these in less than 30 mins with GHD's? Maybe your hairdresser could fit it in ??0
