Focus .. Not releasing Goods!

Hi All

We brought two items from Focus last week which werent in stock. We paid for them to get the 15% off they had going at the time.

We are aware they have annouced going into Administration but my partner has just gone there and they WILL NOT RELEASE THE GOODS stating they are going into administration so cant give him the two now in stock items.

THEY ARE STILL TRADING

Anyone got any advise on how to proceed? They wont give a refund for the same reason.

Thanks in advance
Anthony

Just had exactly the same thing! Paid over 2 weeks ago for a garden set and just been in to be told they will not release the order and I have to contact Ernest & Young (who surprisingly have a voicemail due to the "high level of calls") I paid on credit card so wondering if I can claim through that??

On the phone to E&Y now will keep you posted. The annoying thing is they have stock in another store but wont let us have them off the shelf even though we could in theory go into this other store and buy the bloody things

if you paid on credit card you are fine. Just contact your credit card company and they will refund the cash

Just spoke to Egg and they've directed me to a form to fill out and seems to think it won't be a problem getting money refunded?!

Also spoke to a guy I know and he says there is a clause that if you've paid for goods and they are physically then it is your property and you can demand it?

Visa Debit or Visa Credit cards, your card issuer can action a chargeback for non receipt of goods after 15 days. Doesn't matter what the amount is for the chargeback, the £100 figure only comes into play if you're using Section 75 on a Visa Credit Card dispute.
