I argued:
To which you respond with this.
Are you and WWH having a competition as to who can be the most stupid?[/QUOTE]
I'm making one argument, other posters may make another. That is the nature of debate. I'm surprised that you didn't understand that.0 -

Is the idea of THREE opinions just too much for you to cope with?0 -

No just idiots who completely miss the point.
I argued against your assertion that junkies only do it because its such fun with the fact that most of them are desperate for their next hit to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
Then the other genius on here, ILW, responds with withdrawal symptoms are not a secret and its their choice. Which doesn't negate anything (even though the patronising tone implies disagreement) that either of us had said so why quote us?
It seems to be very hard to make a comment on here without people like you responding as if one had said something else entirely.
BTW, I don't actually believe you mean what you say but I feel I ought to respond just incase some idiot believes what you post and thinks trying drugs is a good idea. If you do mean what you say I hope you OD soon.0 -

The unpalatable truth is that if drugs didn't feel good, no-one would take them a second time.0 -
Now if you really want to get hot under the collar, I've been watching the love story of Adrian & Kelly:
Got together at the age of 16 and produced 4 kids in 8 years.
Growth of family now a bit limited as he is costing the rest of us at least £100 a day to stay in a hotel called "Strangeways".
His blushing new bride must have her hands full managing the family as a single mum, so not much chance of a part time job there then.
The pressures that made him do over a post office, were not really explained, methinks it could not have been a first offence.

On the subject of drugs - the programme included a sub plot of what was probably the spoiled younger son getting sentenced for "conspiracy" - the charge used to get the middle aged financier of the trade 15 years, because the police cannot catch anyone red handed - I'm with the Adam Smith institute:

I think everyone understands people take it initially to get high.
The addicts suffer unless they get a hit and avoiding that suffering is most of the motivation for doing the things decent people (including the addicts before being hooked) would find abhorrent not because its so good its worth selling their bodies on the street, breaking into houses or mugging old people.
We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one as we had before the random post by ILW.0 -

True, and that it should be legalised albeit for different reasons.0 -

Funny that because it usually works the other way, foil first then when that stops scratching the itch they move onto the needle. The longer they take heroin the more they need to get high and then after a while they find it very hard to get high and are just feeding their habit to fight off the withdrawal.0
