You really are strange, or you are one of them people who crave attention.
I work in the construction industry and did so in the late 90s and didnt come across any heroin addicts. and i can tell you now a heroin addict wouldnt last 5 minutes on site. They wouldnt be able to do the job from rattlin all day waiting for their next fix. Thats if they hadnt been killed in an accident through not being able to pay attention to whats going on around them.
Smackheads operating cranes whatever next. coked up fighter pilots.0 -

Countries that have legalised it are not the same as countries (if there are any ) where its free. The fact that usage had reduced after legalisation supports my argument.0 -

Cocaine was routinely given to those fighting in both world wars and the use of opiates by GI's in Vietnam is well documented.
As for the construction worker "rattling"?, He wouldn't need to "rattle" as he could support his habit financially.0 -

I dont think the heroin addict would get away with cooking up at break time so yes they would be rattling.0 -

I know nothing about heroin but I'd contest this. You see examples everyday.....women who go home to men who beat them, men who go home to women who belittle them, people who abuse them selves in various forms of unhappy ways....0 -

No, I'm pretty sure that was MDMA (ecstasy) during the first world war as they often struggled to get supplies to them and it kept them awake and not too hungry. They go rid of it pretty quickly for obvious reasons as well.0 -

I didn't say "reduced", I said "not seen a sharp increase".0 -
