It's the fear of being nobbled like this that makes me such a online account checking€spreadsheet recording/receipt ticking off/ obsessive nerd.0

I must admit I check all my accounts every day....... we have quite a big OD facility on our bank account which we never use, ( we get the first £250 without charge) Its a throw back to when we were moving I needed temprorary facilites, its was paid back within a few weeks, but I have never reduced it, guess I should, it would devastate me if someone used our accounts.
I use a Nationwide debit card when we are abroad, load it before we go and draw cash as and when we need it. I find it works very well, otherwise I just keep about £2 in the account to keep it open. Occasionally I use my Tesco CC, but ALWAYS wtach the transaction going through. Never use it in a restaurant though. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

All going to plan I'll be debt free March 2010....3 years and counting... :T0 -
Hopefully it should be pretty clear it's not you and it'll be sorted quickly....
In future though, you should check your accounts every single day. At least if it does happen again you'll be able to catch it pretty quickly. Close any unused accounts either. No point tempting fate!0 -
Really sorry to hear. Hope you get it sorted soon.0

A friend of mine has been really unlucky - and she's meticulous about shredding, checking etc.,
Within the space of 6 weeks, she's had her debit card cloned and used through an "organised crime" scam at South Coast BP garages, that has been on the news - (they put workers in simply to get the details of credit cards and did it to loads of drivers), and her Nationwide card (which she only uses once a year to pay for her holiday), was also cloned. The same day she discovered this she got a letter from Nationwide about their stolen laptop, although they assure her it's just a coincidence that her card been cloned.
All her money has been refunded, but it's all hassle especially this time of year when she's had to wait for her replacement cards to be sent.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
