    £50 17years ago was loads it would have feed u in m&s and you'd have had steaks everynight :rotfl:

    i do think this is a good idea but it could do with abit more variety for breakfasts and lunchs and more child friendly meals, personally i already do it for less

    It should be illegal to have a meal plan with no puddings....
    Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    Absolutely, that what I thought too, along with thinking that there are folks on here that could probably feed them for a month for £50 (not me alas!)

    It is a good starting point but it doesn't include drinks, snacks (clearly no toddlers or teenagers in this family), puddings or any storecupboard stuff. if I sent my son to school on 2 slices of toast and jam he'd eat his packed lunch at breaktime!

    My 5 and 8 year old sons would agree with that, they are close to ringing Childline if they are told there is no pudding today! :p

    My shopping bill is usually around £50 a fortnight from tesco delivery (inc delivery charge) and that includes nappies for 2 children! Only things we buy on top of that is a top up of fruit, bread, milk and any "luxuries"!
