The seller can't refuse to refund, it's a shame that you opened an ebay dispute as Paypal ones are generally easier by all accounts on here.
They may say that they have offered to dry clean, you should still have the option to turn that down & go for a full refund. I would also mention the zip when you're asked for further info.
It's a silly seller who tells a buyer to go for a dispute as they get counted against them, a buyer generally wins any dispute for SNAD.

    SNAD- Sold not as Described

I echo the above , shame it went via an ebay claim as a paypal one might well have been easier. Don't get into any disputes about dry cleaning, just keep to the argument that dress is dirty and damaged an dnot fit for purpose and you want a refund.

It isn't down to the seller though. Selling a dirty dress with a dodgy zip shouldn't be done.
If the seller had been honest about it in the listing then it would have been your choice whether to bid for it.
Hopefully when the dispute is over you will remember to give appropriate FB & stars.

Lets hope Ebay see it that way too !....and yes I will remember about feedback and stars !! :o....I just hope it does not take too long ...I have to say though it has been very nice to have "people cyber or otherwise" to chat to about this matter !, thank you all !!!

Actually it isn't that rare. It depends on what you buy and from whom.

I refund regardless of fault/change of mind - and as such have very few returns, buyers buy with confidence with me and I am not alone in my attitude. For me it pays off, for my buyers it is invaluable.
If someone returns an item, you refund in full and refund what they have paid to return the item? Wow, I've dealt with all the wrong people!
    :DPlease, pretty please!:D
