    I'd second the suggestion of getting away from TalkTalk while you can - my service was also taken over by them. I saw my broadband connection take a serious nosedive in both speed and reliability, it took them longer than the legal time liming and some chasing to get a MAC code off them, and to top it all I just had to cancel the DD myself as two months after leaving them, they were STILL taking money for a service they no longer provide!:mad:

    TalkTalk are OK if you have no problems - but from the experiences of friends when you do, it's a nightmare.

    I'd also second the suggestion to go with Be - I did loads of research and would be with them myself if it weren't for the fact they aren't available in my area :(

    Just had a phone call back and they are now saying;

    They have found that I am connected to Talk Talk now but that they don't know where.

    He has to get onto the operations team to find out if there is a cancellation order going through for the 6th. If there is they can stop that and put my service through as requested and I would carry on as before.

    I have had no probelsm with service at all up until now so saw no reason to leave, they offer a good price and we never had any issues so am happy to stay. Just want this all sorted out.
    Thanks for any help and advice given

    Thank you for taking time to reply.

    They are saying that the line use to belong to virgin, but it was a BT line.
    I did got to NTL before it changed to Virgin but have not had that for years. I was with Sky after NTL and closed that account in 2003. I have rang Virgin and they say that the line is nothing to do with them and do not know what Talk Talk are on about.

    I am going to be losing all phone and Broadband on the 6th if this is not sorted out quick.

    Were you on NTL cable? Because you cannot get ADSL BBand or any other phone provider on a cable line,they do not connect to your local BT exchange.
    I worked for NTL then &,as far as I can remember,didn't think they did line rental for non cabled areas.
