Not for a dispute over blame. That's for the insurance companies to fight over.

I phoned my local non-emergency number when I had an accident, they said they will only come out if there's a dispute over blame or someone is injured - I told them neither was the case so they didn't come out - maybe they were wrong and you're right?

Two people disagreeing is not a police matter.

They aren't going to come out for an argument over blame unless you are arguing with your fists. They'd have no time for anything else if this was the case.

    Police attend accidents if
    1. injury, damage to property or animal, police accident
    2. One or both parties is refusing to exchange details
    3. An offence is suspected. This is usually drink drive or no insurance/licence.
4.Vehicles are causing a major blockage of road
    Those are the main ones

Contrary to popular opinion, police do not decide blame (that is for the insurance company), and will not come out to assist you with this ;)

Some people really are just just idiots.
I've had a few occassions when doing 120mph in outside lane of motorway and had some idiot right up my chuff trying to get past!!!
Of course, he got a shock when i pulled over and he drove past a car full of coppers in uniform and got pulled over sharpish . lol
Shame unmarked cars don't have rear lights these days. Tailgating a police car on a call really does take some doing!

really? most of my local forces unmarked traffic cars have rear led's and matrix signs..

im assuming by 120mph + you were responding to an emergency call.. as at 120mph you can lose your license :p

It'll be his fault... However i'd like to know what you did to annoy him? And no im sorry, I do not believe your story!

People don't just get irrate for no reason and all too often these days people like to annoy other on our roads (passive aggressive driving)..

He probably didn't do anythng, the guy probably had a bad day and is taking his anger out when he driving.

A year ago, something similar happened to my Uncle on a 2 lane motorway, he is in right hand lane overtaking, a driver is inches away from his bumper, flashing him to move over and he couldn't due to traffic on his left.

Now not a wise move to do to my Uncle as he has road rage against driver's like this, and my Auntie who was also in the car said, the driver then swevered in the left to undertake and my Uncle then forced him onto the hard shoulder! My Uncle was driving back from court for a driving offensive!

    It wasn't a traffic car.
For some great reason, known only to a select few, new unmarked cars in my force only have front blue lights. Nothing on top, and nothing to the rear.
Yes, I had a legitimate reason for going that fast.

    That's nothing.... :p

I was doing 168mph over near Leicester and the guy behind was right on my !!!!!!! Couldn't really make out his face though due to my mirrors shaking about, but he looked like the Stig from BBC Topgear...
I managed to stop him overtaking me though, I lost him exiting Gerard's :D

Not following your own advice then in posts 9 and 15, you should have let him pass.
