I've received an increase in my Teachers' Pension of 3.1% from April 2011 because, as you will know, these are index linked.

Of course, that also meant that last year there was no increase, because during the measurement period, inflation was 'negative.'

    Mmmmm...:(

I'm now self-employed, and as expected, making a loss. While our children have been at uni, it's been OK having a low income. ;)

Interesting that only 16% of the poll showed decreases whilst 84% showed increases and some with well above average increases.

You do need to reduce the figures down for internet lying. For instance I said +10.3% bit in reality I live in a tin shack and make a living scavenging from rubbish tips.

True, but if you lived in a tin shack, making your living scavenging, you'd likely be wanting price reductions and therefore say you got -10.3% ;)

Mean as we have just got past April I thought it would be interesting to have a poll to see what effect inflation is having on wages.
No Points to score on this one just a genuine poll on what we personally are seeing.

Ps Messed up poll 10%+ should be 8%+ :)

Mean as we have got ??

My firm is due to give payrises averaging 4% at the end of the month. i won't be getting one, because I'm moving overseas, but my 15% bonus will be paid upon departure, and I'm getting a decent payrise to go to Hong Kong.

actually, i was basing my wage rise on the increase of price of the scrap silver i am hoarding in my shack. so, in fact, the correct figure is -98%.
