Mean as we have just got past April I thought it would be interesting to have a poll to see what effect inflation is having on wages.
No Points to score on this one just a genuine poll on what we personally are seeing.
Ps Messed up poll 10%+ should be 8%+

Circa 2% Pay point increase plus increase in allowances. Although thats more of a change of entitlement than an actual raise.
Next FFeb is a biggie - top rate and a 6% payrise!0 -
I am lucky enough to work for a IT company that has been making record profits for the last 16 quarters, or so. So got a decent bonus and a regular payrise of 7% a few weeks back.
But now I just got lucky and have been (unexpectedly) promoted, and will get another 16% on top of that from June.
I know it's not the norm, but nice to know that some companies make sure their employees get their share of the profits.0 -
5% here, which sort of helps, given the fact that OH is on a 2yr pay freeze as a schoolteacher -- 'ooh, those nasty public sector workers'.0

i got a 10.3% payrise. you probably don't believe this, but then neither could i when i got the letter, so that's understandable.0

Up about 30% net by going full time from contracting once you account for sick pay and holidays.0

Similar to me I expected 3% and got 6.1%.
Interesting thing here is as I had an inkling wages in general were going up more than I expected.
If it carry's on we could expect a rate rise sooner than later to dampen down the effect.0 -
I teach and OH is self employed. Say no more but pass the hole punch for the belt."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
I still am Puddleglum - phew!0 -
This is a subject which really frustrates me, our company has not given anyone a cost of living increase for 6 years, even though they have done better each year then ever before. This year we where told due to rough economic times we would not be receiving one even though we had the best year in our companies history. I don't mind not receiving an increase if its for the best - longer term, but I feel like mine and other companies are using this recession as an excuse to take the michael with employee's.0

12% last year, but only a 2.75% so far this year, hoping for another sneaky 5% in 3rd quarter. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
