beware of HeroCraft Mobile Game Development Company

On 27 april 2011 at 23:37 through my mobile phone I sent a text “Getaw196” to order Farm Frenzy for my mobile phone. The number i was told to send the text to was 60999.

I sent this and £2 eas taken from my phone balance to pay for the game, but i never received the game. so on 29 april 2011 i went on the site to get their contact details so i could contact them and i find that they changed the number to text to 63320.

so i wrote to them and got this reply

"Hello.
Thanks to some of our customers we figured out, that this short number no longer works, so we chanded it.
There is no fraud, just a little neglect. Apologize for this.

but using this link on my mobile does not download Farm Frenzy it actually download a game called “Sex Xonix Hentai”

their reply to this was

"You are talking about something very strange. There is no way you could download another game.
Can you tell me your phone number, we'll send you a link with
sms.

Just tried the download link you provided and it downloads a file called "farmfrenzy.jad". That's what you bought isnt it?

Its the .jar the OP needs (probably along with .jad)

It's odd that that the details I found (below) for the two short codes you have used to download the game from Herocraft (who are based in Russia) is for two different companies.

Even worse is that both MIG & TxtNation are known and have been fined in the past by the premium rate regulator, Phone Pay Plus, for breaking its rules and regulations. Check out the Adjudications section of PP+ website.

I would also confirm that this has been a 'one off' purchase and that you have not 'unknowingly' signed up for a subscription to receive further games.

If I were you I would make a complaint to Phone Pay Plus giving as much info as you have given here demanding a refund.

The .jad describes the .jar file. You actually download the .jad, the handset then uses the information contained within to download and install the .jar

In this case that .jad file points to a farmfrenzy jar, so it's difficult to say what's happened.

strange as the game downloaded to my phone was “Sex Xonix Hentai” unless they changed this after i complained so when the authorities check it will be the correct game.

now i have !!!!!! game on my phone that i cant delete

The .jad file points to http://get.herocraft.com/d/lMdSDu/farmfrenzy.jar which I'm guessing is the correct game and it downloads fine, sounds like there was a completely honest mistake at their servers end that's now been corrected.

even so does not help me remove the !!!!!! game from my phone.

The link you were sent points to farmfrenzy.jad which tells your phone to go to the 2nd URL and download the game it's self, here's the contents of farmfrenzy.jad;

i will havce to keep the kids off my phone now due to this !!!!!! game, its something kids dont what to see.
