It's been said before, but you just have to be quick off the mark with big R&R's or just lucky.
  • Just go tof the phone to CS about yesterdays run in with the manager.

"All refunds are at the managers discrescion. That's the case in every store if they feel you are abusing the policy." They were not concerned with the amendment to the policy board at all. The only thing that interested them was the suposed "list" at the security desk. Were do you stand on managers discrescion? That means there's a different refund policy at every store as each manager will have a different view of the refund policy. Surley if you have been overcharged Tesco's are legally bound to honour their own policy?

I have to say though that the term did give rise to a post stating ...
    'I had a Diamond R&R on a partridge'

Which for some reason had me in stitches at the time and chuckling since.
Perhaps I'm a little too childish for all this.

Me too. Although I don't know which was funnier, that post, or me reading as he'd R&R'd an Alan Partirdge DVD, and not realising that you could eat Partirdges, and also that Tesco sell them!
  • The partidge was me, although I must say I won't be parttaking of their offer of free partridges again it left a number of my family less than well.

My OH was put off before it went in the oven as I had to remove a number of shot pellets, well at least I knew it was free range!!:D

Others were put off by the slightly gamey flavour, oh I do have a very fickle family.

I myself was put off by the deli belly it gave later on it the day, in hindsight I probably missed a pellet or two!

Never mind, I will stick to the free pork, chicken, and steak in future. Though I was tempted by their venison burgers last night, at £2.20, with SEL of 1.97.;)
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.

Sirloin steak still priced at £10.37kg SEL end of aisle display.

Middle aisle display has it at £12.87kg.

    Had 2 packs - nearly £14 R&R.

Don't bother in Swansea. Little Hitler on CS. Says that they can't refund

because they often have products in all departments (she gave example of

books dept.) of store that are on different offers for the same item!

Does that mean that I have to scan all copies of books to see which one

    comes up the cheapest!!

She must think I'm one brick short of a hod!

What she said is illegal. I would contact Trading Standards and then call Tesco's Head Office giving her name as she should be disciplined for such a comment.
IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j

Normally it's around 6. But as soon as they have taken payment and it's over 2 (your store bulk policy) then that policy is out of the window as they should have stopped you buying them at the checkout.

Tell them when they do 'buy any 3 for £1' or 'any 4 for £5' etc that they are breaking their own store policy and should be removed :D

the signs are still out there search and you will seek

    Just a quick question...

If you get overcharged in an express store, where do you go for an r&r? do you just go back to the till?
  • Just a quick one to avoid -
    Xbox games
New SEL for PES6 - £37.97 is correct, it scans at that
Gears of war also still scanning at £37.84

Lots of the trio dvds still about (heat/goodfellas/true romance, the kung-fu ones, and the gremlins/goones/police academy, but i left them all there, waiting for the next XBOX biggie (don't want to raise profile too much)
