Should of told him ok we'll take it to court then tell him that you would be taking him to civil court for defamation of character/slander as him was implying you were attempting to 'jilt' them when you were an honest customer who had done nothing wrong apart from trying to make a claim what you was entitled to according to their own policy.0

Just wanted to add my experiences too.
It's worth noting, to start off with, that CS staff in store are supposed to deduct your points at the time of giving the refund, whether it's an R+R or just a normal refund for any reason. It's buried away somewhere in the Tesco rulebook. Even if it's just 1 point from buying a mispriced box of corn flakes, the procedure should still apply. Although I heard through the grapevine that it's an awkward procedure which involves them having to phone Clubcard in Dundee to ask for points to be taken off manually, and 99.9% of CS staff simply can't be arsed so they turn a blind eye. To be fair, I think it's buried so deeply within the rulebook that many of them don't even know about it. I've never in my life had a CS person try to deduct my Clubcard points when doing a refund.
(Conny - am I right about all that?)
Pretty much spot on.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -
Well hubby had an eventful after when we went to a tescos
We found an out of date SEL for a girls vanity table thingy & it scanned £2 more than the lower price.
So we go back to the car, put the rest of the shopping in the car & i wait in the car with the kids whilst he goes back in.
Off he goes to the CS desk but was told that they weren't dealing with 'non food' items today & to go to the electrical department.
So he goes there & speaks to a young girl there who has dealt with him before. He took her to the shelf & showed her the SEL, she says they will refund the difference.... hubby said no, i'd like you to honor you're policy & give me a full refund.
She says well i'll have to get the manager for that.... you'd think it was worth £100, it was only £19.
She takes the receipt & the SEL to the manager & left him at electrical department. She comes back & says that the manager is at the front desk (the CS desk at the front of the store) & is dealing with it.
Then the manager comes & says 'that they will refund me this time & that i won't ever get a refund from that store as the security guard recognised him  & that he was a 'list' at the front of the store & that i'd had a philips boombox & that people come in & do it deliberatly.... he wasn't saying that was him.... but he clearly was
They gave him the refund but only as a goodwill gesture & that he wouldn't get it again!!!
The manager was trying to be intimidating with my husband too.
Hubby wants to make a complaint but who should be call?
This is also the store that has the bit about the 'managers discretion' stuck to the bottom of their policy board so would like to complain about that when he calls tomorrow.
Talk about making a big deal about a childs toy which costs £19
If we were to find a mis-price again even if its small can they refuse point blank to give us an r&r ???“Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.”
Some people only dream of angels, i held one in my arms.
Praying this baby makes it.0
