HEY LOOK ---> A MISPRICE DISCUSSION THINGY!!! :j

I was in my local T earlier today and spotted a 6ft high floor display of red label Smirnof Ice boxes priced at two for £16 on an OOD A4 poster that ended on 12.12.06.
Bearing in mind the pages upon pages of nothingness in this thread, I have no idea if this is good or bad or what they go through at. Has anyone got any idea, please?

Muzzy, think the 2 for £16 on the Smirnoff has been extended - So discount would still conme off:confused:

Good actually talking about the thread topic innit;)

    Hello,

    Hope you can help.

I am looking to do some r+r at my local Tesco's in Bury Greater Manchester. I went in the other day trying to find a scanner and could not find any. The only thing I did see was the self scan tills can these be used. With the normal scanners how can you check if a you buy 2 items you get a discount can you scan both items and it will give you the price for both. Anyone got a picture of on of these scanners so I know what I am looking for. For those pepople that do not have scanners in their local Tesco what do you do buy items and hope for the best.

    Thanks Mark

Good place to start would be here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=320565

Also not a good idea to mention the store you plan to r&r in.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Hi, I don't think you can just price check on the self scan tills. Price check scanners are usually found on pillars in the aisles, but be careful if you are spotted price checking an item before asking for a refund it can lead to problems. Might be better to chance it at the till and change your mind if its not an overcharge, they can void it off your bill.

can any one tell me the bulk buying policy at tesco reason be bought 36 bottles oy wine for forthcoming party large pos stated 3.99 was charged 4.99 they argued because of bulk buying policy i could only have a full refund on the first 6 bottles and the1.00 differance on the other 30 i argued that the checkout operater should have refused to sell me any more the six is this right or wrong i stood my ground and did final get a full refund

the offer has now finished it was a gallo rosey wine i got it when it was on 20% of+5% for buying six or more bottles it would be interesting to know if stores operate a bulk buying policy in all stores with diferant rules or is it national rules made from hq maybe some tesco staff will know this

It has been asked before and if I remember correctly it can be different for each store (stores discretion) - in other words they make it up as they go along. If they sell it, overcharge for it, they should refund it.

  • Hi
Just been catching up and dont understand why Postie was not invited to the circle,I have only been given very sound and helpful advice from him and inturn have passed it on to other R&r's in suffolk by the way of PM's.I have only been on this thread for a short time but thanx to him and his friends i have had the courage to get some things back for all the times my family have been over charged by this all conquering (and not caring for small business's that have taken people years of hard work to create and seen destroyed by their bully boy tactics) company.
If i do manage to find any new items i will still place them on this thread for everyone.
    Best Rgds
